Man, Kimagure Orange Road ! Another classic !! Loved that one as well when I was younger. The great thing these days is that I don't have to rely on subtitles meaning I can actually relax while watching

    Another weird controller...

Biohazard Controller. Again continuing my current lucky streak - brand new. At first I thought this controller was completely rubbish but it is not bad at all. The right hand grip is really comfortable and molded like a gun - the left one is kinda like a torch I suppose. Anyway is it actually quite comfortable and the gun trigger feels cool. My only reservation is over the circle and triangle buttons, the R1 aim button is spot on though. Also the D-pad has the up and down seperate from left and right which is also quite cool. All in all a solid "pointless" pad!

Capcom probably realized that the pad was pretty pointless and bunged in some memory card stickers and 3 packs of German herbal tea (that went off in 2000!). Also the pad looks very different from the one in the manual so I'm guessing the design was changed quite a bit. But still for the cool gun grip and pack of herbs it is quite a cool item.

I got an old PS2 store display from a shop which doesn't sell PS2 games anymore. The store display was horrible dirty, because these guys stored it outside the building and it was raining.

But I cleaned it and it looks really nice now:

Does that controller yield any signifigant advantage compared to a regular pad, or make it any more fun or anything?

Or drink it! As I said it went off ages ago. For the record the 3 flavours are Peppermint, Lavender and Rose. It "almost" follows the game logic with the red herbs and green herbs but unfortunately the blue herb is actually purple.

As for the pad being useful. Well having the left and right buttons on a different piece of the d-pad to the up and down works well for Biohazard and any game where you control your character in the same way. So that is quite good. Also having the right grip molded like a gun is a bit of a gimmick but it does feel decent enough.

Totally honestly it does not have any serious advantage over a ordinary PS controller. It is just a bit of fun and something for the collection. Also it gives me an excuse to play Biohazard again, which is always a good thing.

Another weird brand new Playstation item. This time I got it because it comes with a controller for the pocketstation. A remote controller to be exact.

The buttons on the that black controller match the pocketstation and there is a little IR transmitter on the top. The game itself involves talking to the Pocketstation via said remote and such fun as messaging, melody making and calenders. The idea of the whole package is to turn your pocketstation into a character, thus there is a bunch of plastic bits to decorate it with, and make it look awful at the same time. At least the supplied stand is not so bad. Anyway I got it purely for the pocketstation remote.
