Believe it or not I actually liked die hard 4, despite how cheesy the hacker plot can be. I'm waiting for the dvd release of the directors cut.

:eek:h: It doesn't quite have the same........ zing! Strange, I have found most French dubs to be pretty good. The very first time I ever saw a French dub, it was ''Columbo'' (shows how long ago it was). I just couldn't get into it. I just know the voice of Falk so well that it was like Pavarotti being sung by the bloke down the pub!

Of all the things they could have replaced it with!

Congratulations home owner. Nice feeling when you move in, crap when they put the interest rates up as they did on Friday.

Got a Centipede arcade machine last week. Original upright, but the guts have been replaced with a new switching power supply and JAMMA adaptor. Has a Willis replacement CPO on it but I do have an original Atari one so that's going to be a fun little fixer-upper project for me.

Just picked a couple games to keep me busy while I have the house to myself for a couple weeks: Otogi: Myth of Demons, Star Ocean Till the End of Time, and Xenosaga Episode 1.

With a name like Xenosaga, it's gotta be good right?

    My latest acquisition:

I found the image & sound quality suprisingly good. It doesn't cover the face enough to entirely block out the rest of the world (probably intentionally), but it does introduce a degree of immersion. Playing Tourist Trophy, or Ace Combat 4 on it proved quite interesting, as the temptation to move your head to look around proves too great to ignore & is of course, unrewarded, as the scenery moves with you...

Cabling? I assume you are joking? That's a feature, probably described in the estate agents brochure as "Sweeping foliage adorns the facade of this period home, embracing it lovingly in a floral tribute to days of yore. Exclusive access to own jungle vine, so me Jane, you Tarzan...."

To anyone else - that looks like Ivy and I'd get rid of it before it eats into the brick work and dislodges any more grout than it already has. That stuff is a nightmare and eventually destroys brick & stone. Well, actually it's a combination of Ivy and heat, water, ice. The Ivy creates cracks, the rest is natural erosion.
