Not really game related although I'm sure it will be used for filming games. I've finally jumped on to the HD bandwagon with this very nice Full HD Panasonic video camera. Well, it says it's full HD but in reality it only films up to 1080i. I thought true full HD was 1080p. Still, 1080i video camera for 48000 yen (thanks to a crazy open day sale) is very good going!

Hihihihihihi... I suppose you can speak Japanese fluently then? I am wondering ever since I saw your collection years ago as it included lots of nextgen (GC) titles with a lot of text.
It's an adorable Doraemon thingy. I'd prefer it to have a plush surface though, you should consider case-modding. :p What can you talk about with him apart from birthdays and dates? Is it like an advanced Seaman creature?

Nah im nowhere even close to fluent in japanese, he basically talks about various things & if you talk back to him about the subject he's talking about he will keep the conversation going. I can understand some of the stuff he's talking about, he has a lot of different of topics that crop up like hobbies, things he likes, or stuff about his surroundings like whats the weather like as he can sense both heat & cold as well as the time of day as he has a light sensor & internal clock so he will say certain things depending on the time.

Just got him all excited by talking to him about Dorayaki his favourite food, he started asking if i had any when i said yes i did, he then told me to hurry LOL

He's fun & rather clever but not super sophisticated like an Aibo for instance but he can understand 1300 words. I love the Anime so to get a real working robot version of him is like a dream.

It's actually a sparkling metallic red but looks flat plain red in that picture. They did have silver and black as well but like you say, those colours are over used and look so plain these days.

I had a go of one of those Doraemons the other day. Pretty good fun. I asked it if he wanted to play outside but he's rather watch anime. I also asked if it had a girlfriend to which it replied I can't say. It really is a pretty cool item if not a little expensive. I'll probably get one in the future if they become cheaper. It sort of reminds me of that robot NEC were working on. That could communicate as well as move.

Go on Importaku, get that Beatles Rock Band going! I've just completed it on Easy using guitar. Now I'm goingto do Bass Guitar on easy then on to the normal level settings  I've never played any guitar based game before which is why I'm getting practice in on easy for now.

Hehe im liking beatles rockband a lot the presentation is stunning, so far i have finished story mode on medium 5 starring all the songs, now just doing the same on challenge mode. Then i'll be cranking it upto hard.

You should consider getting a uk 360, it would give you access to a lot of games japan dosent get :) like all those rockband games they arent that expensive now over here now. Would give me the oppertunity to play against you too oonline :)

I'd get a 360 in Japan if they didn't keep breaking all of the time, I really would. That's the only thing that puts me off buying one, the fact that it will die all of a suddern when things like my Wondermega at 15 or so years old is still going strong.
