It's been a very long time since I posted anything in this thread. The last few weeks have brought me DoDonPachi Satakore version which cost more than the full price release strangely. Also Final Romance 2 and Mahjong Gakuensai to help complete that full JPN Saturn set.

lol, how does that work? Satakore is like budget titles right? Must have a lower print count or something. Still funny though.

Yes, it probably is due to the lower print run. Thunder Force V original release can be had for about 3000 yen while the special edition for about 5000 yen while the satakore re-release cost more than both of them. Collectors want but others won't sell which probably drives up the price as well as the lower print run.

Not all satakore releases cost more than the original release mind you. Princes Crown is cheaper I found in satakore form.

Not game related but cool none the less. A set of Subaru STi mud flaps for my Impreza. THese things cost a small fortune but I got a lucky deal on them because there are a few hair line scratches on them. The scratches are so thin you'd have to get right up close to see them. Far closer than anyone ever will.

Scratches on mud flaps decrease value? WTF? I thought one day after putting them on they're scratched to death anyway :p

The crazy Japanese seem to collect everything, otherwise it would make no sense due to use.

I hope to fit them this Saturday if the weather stays nice.

As for money off due to a few very light marks, yep that's quite normal in Japan. If it's not mint then it's not new to them.

I'm a big fan of the ALPS Pad for PS1, despite its flaws. They're pretty scarce, but I bought a new one that popped up:

I love the huge size, curvy shape, metallic auto-body-like color, and the large grippy undersides. Still searching for the elusive limited edition Red version.

Wonderful purchases. I hope you are going to spend the time on each one of the games that they deserve, every single one (well, maybe Psyvariar not as much as the others :p) is a real gem.

Man I wish I still had the time to play Music games, def. my favorite type of game. But I can't not play them obsessively, so I tend to avoid them nowadays :( . Wanna try Dj Hero sometime soon though.

Hey VMS that ALPS pad looks shiny! Though isn't the d-pad a bit of a drawback? At least it looks not very reliable, but can't say anything really as I've never tried it.
