Well, I finally came to the decision that I'm going to start my collection up again after selling it all off about 2 years ago. I'm still going to be focusing on Sega, as usual, but I'm going to try to stray away from Sega Saturn this time as that was my big focus last time. I'll pick up the system and few a favorite games, but I'm not going to specifically collect for it. My biggest problem last time is my collection got out of hand, so I'm making it more narrow this time.

This time I'm only interested in 16 bit Sega era. So for my start I have decided to work on getting a complete Pioneer Laseractive system, as I have always wanted one, and then just a few games. I haven't purchased the Laseractive yet so I'll post that later.

So far, this is what I have bought, the beginning of my new collection:

    Sega CD:
    3x3 Eyes
    [IMG]

    Lunar: The Silver Star
    [IMG]

    Lunar: Eternal Blue
    [IMG]

    Sega Genesis:
    Sonic the Hedgehog 2
    [IMG]

    Phantasy Star 2, 3, and 4.

Excuse the pictures, there just auction pictures or default ones. Once I get the first bit of my collection up and going I'll make an actual photo of my own when the Laseractive comes in.

Sounds pretty fun and reminds me of the Game Center CX games. Though if it really plays like Wario Ware, can't that become a little tricky when you have to understand the Japanese commands very quickly? Made in Wario played quite well in Japanese because most of the minigames were quite obvious, but I remember having trouble with some of them.

Like when there is nothing but an octagon of numbers and the game throws three obscure Kanjis at you.

無器用!! WTF? Well, let me get the dictio- oh bollocks, time's up again LOL

Picked up some games as part of Game's 'flogging off 4 PS2 games for £10' deal) Zone Of The Enders (with the bonus disc), Half-Life, TimeSplitters and, bizarrely, Smarties Meltdown (yes, a game involving the colourful sugar-coated chocolate sweets).

Also, recently received Condemned, Brütal Legend, Mass Effect 2:LE and BioShock 2 LE on Xbox 360 as b-day presents, whilst my lady received Ninety-Nine Nights as an early b-day present.

On a side note: this brings my unintentional collection of copies of the first Half-Life to 5. It's funny how these things start...

    Ooh, 6 Series. Fancy! :)

I bought a mid-range 5 Series and whilst the sound can be a little lacklustre, the picture can't be beat! I also like the way that it has a Game Mode for all your console inputs.

    Ahh nice looking TV.

A new LCD TV 40" or more is something i want as our old 32" CRT died and we now use a better picture but slightly smaller 28" Sony.

I also want a PS3 but that would be for use in my room as the 360 is downstairs in the living and i just want a PS3.

One thing i did buy but its not gaming related is a cheap and temporary Motorola E1000 phone to replace my broken INQ phone which i sold on eBay. Will be possibly getting an android phone, blackberry or some other phone when my current contract runs out end of this month or next.

This is my first LCD TV. I promise i'll take better pictures asap. Anyway, i thought about getting a LED model, but the series 7 (and the new series 8) were out of my budget.

So, i got the one i was looking for quite some time, the 40B650 Series 6 LCD. Great picture quality, amazing black levels, media 2.0 (i'm watching Top Gear on 1080i through a USB pendrive!), not to mention amazing upscaling. I was watching Aliens for the millionth time, using my jurassic and trusty old Pioneer DV-535 (that only sends 480i signal) and the image was simply AMAZING! I never saw the movie looking so good. Imagine watching it on blu-ray connected through HDMI!

Also, got one more year of extended warranty for free. What was already a nice deal, became a great deal.

I already sold the old 29' Sony Wega to a friend and I'll keep my 21' Toshiba Face for the PS2 / PS1.

Got myself a BlackBerry Curve 8520 yesterday although without internet and whatever extra at the moment since it was going to be too high for me right now with internet...ect and although It is on a 24mnth contract which i'd have liked to have been at least 18mnths i don't mind since i can say i have a BlackBerry which is probably my first really decent phone i've had.

Bought another small pile of PS2 games (Red Faction II, Gauntlet Dark Legacy and, *ahem*, Hello Kitty Roller Rescue) for £5. Also picked up Taito Legends (£3.99) and Timesplitters: Future Perfect (£2.99) for Xbox.

Finally, picked up a 'missing cover art' copy of a Fallout 3 DLC disc (Operation: Anchorage and The Pitt) for £4.50. Unfortunately, when I got home I was sadly greeted to three, solemn, blinking red lights. RIP my first Xbox 360. :(

Still, 50 is a good amount and 119 Ds titles!! Wow, that is a healthy collection.

Got a nice fluffy package today:

...and it contained an arcade-exclusive Toaplan game ^____^
    [IMG]
OutZone! The original Japanese version even, although the seller didn't mention it and there are loads of Euro and HK Outzones around here in the old country.

    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Awesome stuff! My Toaplan-collection is over 80% (of what I need), a Tatsujin 1 pcb is still in the mail. :)

The only arcade version of a Toaplan game that I'm still missing and which I really want to play (since the emulation is very buggy) is an original V-V Japan PCB ^O^

Some new buys today. Fist of the North Star or Hokuto No Ken to give it the original title and Virtua Fighter 5 Live Arena for the 360. Some crap for the Saturn to help that complete collection become a reality. And finally a very cool Mega Drive note pad.

Fist of the North Star came with a very nice metal credit card case. So if you are importing this one make sure to ask about it. Also make sure your copy of the game has the gold sticker on the front. That means there's a code inside the case to get a free download of Ken's original comic book clothes.

I'm always so pissed to see the crappy bonuses we get at GameStop over here. I want cool card cases and lanyards and useful things.

Be sure to give your opinions on HNK when you've put a couple hours in it!
