All three arrived in the mail this week. I don't have better photos to share as I'm posting this from work , but the Sapphire is indeed genuine and not a bootleg.

I've had a bootleg for a while so it's awesome to finally get a real one.
It's also in absolutely pristine condition. And, of course, you can't properly enjoy a gem like this with Magic Engine, now can you?

The Duo has seen better days, and the box with "Fragile, Please Handle Carefully" written prominently on it arrived looking like it had been used as a seat cushion by an overweight mail carrier, but the three inch-thick layer of bubble wrap apparently did its job because it works a champ. The best part is it cost me less than buying a Kisado adapter.

Congrats! Sapphire is a real nice gimmick, tech demo and over average shooter. A friend of mine used to own it (also the real deal) and I got the chance to play it a good couple of times before he sold it.

A real treasure! And I'm envying you for the Duo-R, I'm still on the hunt for a cheap one. It's said to be more reliable than the first-gen Duo's of which I have two, one with faulty CD drive. :/

    /edit
I love that spinecard... "Super Cute BUT Super Hard" ^_^

Yeah, that cracked me up too - the "Super Cute" thing.

And I'm tending to agree that this thing is really reliable, considering that it survived the rough journey over the ocean. I honestly thought I was going to find it in pieces after seeing the box it came in.

How is fist of the north star on 360? I might import if it's good later on down the line (it also being if its region free of course). Seems like japan got a better cover for vf5. I have had the game awhile myself and must say the online is great with rarely any slowdown or lag.

Yeah, VF5's online mode is amazing. I noticed that it only slows down when I play people not in Japan probably because the other player has a slow connection.

Fist of the North Star is very good. Loads of combination moves with more as you progress. The graphics are pretty as well although the camera is not very good. Just as well it can be moved with the Right stick. The story is all in Japanese as you'd expect so if you can't understand that you really will miss out on the plot. It's one of the stronger points to the game.

After the main game is done there are loads of side quests using other characters from within the game. Basically it's the same game but the story is from their point of view and of course other characters have different abilities and moves.

Overall it's a nice game. not as good as it could have been but still a good game. Koei have never been great game makers in my eyes when it comes to action but this is probably one of their best so far. I'm happy I bought it.

Well, after saying I was going to get one for almost a year I finally did. One new i-phone 3G-S. Cost 47'000 yen (508 USD) but I'll be paying it off over 2 years so not bad. The plan is pretty cool too. Unlimited Wi-Fi, 3G access so in other words free internet or online gaming, accessory pack and 5000 yen (54 USD) cash back

All I need now is some good apps to try out. Anyone know some good free ones to get me started?

So, I haven't been keeping up with this thread as I'm planning to start my own collection thread once I get around to taking pics, but heres an update on some recent stuff I've got my hands on:

A Pioneer Laseractive CLD-A100 with the PAC-S10 module, my favorite system for the Genesis/Sega CD, 2nd favorite being the Wondermega. I've always wanted one of these, and so when I started my collection again recently this is the first system I bought. I'm having a lot of fun with this system, I love it! Been playing a lot of Lunar: Silver Star for Sega CD on it recently.

I also picked up these games recently, each game is complete (I'll leave the photos out):

Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask Collectors Edition (A present for my girlfriend's birthday, so not mine. She collects Nintendo stuff.)
    Target Earth (Assault Suits Leynos)
    Sonic CD
    Silpheed
    Galaxy Force II Japanese
    Sonic the Hedgehog
    Sonic 2
    Sonic 3D Blast
    Sonic Spinball
    Combat Cars
    Light Crusader
    Viewpoint
    Rocket Knight Adventures
    Mortal Kombat II
    Streets of Rage II

Ah you can't have a Toaplan collection without the first game that Toaplan made and released themselves. No SNK, Data East or Taito to hold their hand.

Of sorts... still I can play Daytona on Endurance setting now :D

Wow, that's a lovely Aero City! And it seems to be in absolute pristine condition, what a white and shiny panel :O

Did you get it from rklok? He certainly has served the European arcade community well in the past six months... heh^^"

    @jamtex
Yeah, but I don't go for "complete Toaplan" but for "complete Toaplan games I like" and that list stops at Tiger Heli if even. :p

Very nice Aero City, in great shape! I've always wanted to own a Sega City cab, almost bought an Astro City awhile back. Ever since I sold my Neo Geo MVS cab I've wanted to pick one of those up but I just haven't had the spare money recently :\. I'd really love to get me one.

Thanks! Yeah, it's in pretty good nick aside from some minor imperfections and a nasty dent on the back (but with the back against the wall I won't see that anyways). Didn't get it from rklok, but from two other Dutch guys who managed to get a batch of ~30 Aero's and are selling them off rather cheaply.

These came from Germany (Still has DM stickers sticked over the Y100) and it seems that they have been standing in a basement doing nothing for many years, which is why they still look really good.

I am planning to buy a Blast City from rklok when his next shipment is coming in though.

Thanks, yeah, Astros are lovely cabs too. Keep your eyes open because I'm sure a cheap one will pop up eventually.

A nice promo Marty / Towns item arrived today.

Obviously this is for the Marty / Towns release of BB (One of the best covers imo http://www.gamengai.com/gm_inf.php?gm_id=927). It still even has the Copyright 'VING Licensed from Tatio Corp' sticker on the bottom.

Fall Out 3 Asian version since the Japanese one is censored and this version is also in English and will work on a NTSC-J system

That has to be one of the lovliest promo items I've ever seen! The Towns' BB-cover is one of the best on the platform and it's nice to know there would be a chance to restage it somehow someday ^_^

Now go and have fun in the bathtub with your new toy and all the bubbles.
