We are not too far from 2019 Great pickups!

 

haha, yeah only another 6 years. If you search the net you'll be able to find the beta of Out Run 2019 under the name of Junkers High. There are some HUD changes and the much better title logo but apart from that they are basically the same game from what I remember.

 

These just arrived.


This is my second US Duo. Bought this one as a "non working" unit with no controller or cables in an attempt to learn how to repair/mod it before I perform surgery on my original. Turns out it works just as good and looks even better since it still has the hucard cover intact.



Despite most of the world bashing these for being as unreliable as the loading times are long, I pulled the trigger on one anyway. Even if it turns out to be as bad as they say it still is a nice looking piece and I can use the control pad for my consolized 2-slot MVS.

 

I think OutRun 2019 is a good name for it though, it plays sort of like OutRun in 2019 afterall! And I love the idea of a Night Striker without weapons. One of my favorite Mega Drive racers.

 

Got my Kasumi faceplate today from Japan. Some reason or another it's $200 on eBay, so I had to import it, worked out $150 cheaper even with express shipping.

 

It finally arrived!

hit up the Humble bundle weekly sale for some Alan Wake + american nightmare (DRM free + steam keys, soundtracks and load of extras)
never played Alan wake and it looks interesting so figured for the price why not.

 

Cheers for the heads up on AW, was waiting those two out until they were really cheap and 69p for two quality games in cheap!

 

Just received the following in the mail:
-Original PS3 Memory Card adapter (or at least it seems to be the official one... no manual though)
-Datel DataMax for PS3
-Sandisk 64gb micro SD XC Class 10

 

I haven't played the Wii version so this is my first time playing it and I'm liking it a lot. The 3DS games are the only ones that I can find here in Brazil on the same day that it releases on the US, sometimes I can even find them before the US launch.

 

Finally got myself the rock solid Super JB King Joystick for the SFC. The best stick for the system. This is some serious hardware with micro switched buttons and stick, button rotation for comfort and fantastic short travel on the stick. The stick was in really poor state on the auction so I only paid 500 yen, yes 500 yen for a stick that easily goes for x10 as much! After a good clean up it looks as good as new. Feels as good as new too.

The Super JB king is great though. I had to take mine apart completely to clean all the crap it was covered in. It's odd that every button apart from the 4 main buttons are micro switched. The 4 main buttons just use a membrane like standard pads however they are pressed against a pretty heavy bit of metal for extra quality.

That might sound ignorant, but the JB King is that great of an arcade stick? I have one too - boxed, from a flea market years ago - but don't actually know much about the thing. All I know is that it works really well and feels much better than Nintendo's own Score Master ^^"

 

Tell me there's an equal to the Super JB King in the land of Mega Drive... I'm on the hunt for a decent arcade stick.
The Arcade Power Stick is junk as is the Mega Stick and newer revisions of these two.
The way you two are talking about it, is as if it is actually enjoyable to use! :livid:

 

Most sticks for consoles before the Saturn were complete crap so when the JB KING came along with short travel micro switched joystick, fully custom auto fire for every button and solid construction, it was the closest to an arcade quality stick you could but. Even Captors own fighter stick for SFC and MD was complete shit. The Saturn was the next console to get a quality arcade level stick. These days arcade quality sticks are common but still cost a lot. What is surprising a out the JB King is that Halden made it and not Hori . Although Hori do make a great PC Engine stick with the same rotating buttons. Hmm mm. No MD version from what I know.
