The book looks really cool @Johnny , is Tectoy related in any way to it?

Took a chance on this Master system (which I needed for collection anyway) because the guy selling it said he tried the glasses and they didn't work but he'd throw them & the 3-d adapter in anyway. So I bought all you see, the games even had instructions and advertisement papers inside for $99.00 total.

I had a hunch they used a LCD TV or improper game... so when I got it home, plugged it into my little CRT, put Poseiden wars 3-D in and ...The glasses worked just fine! but Holy crap I had no idea how tiny they were!, I had to gently pop one side off so I could wear them correctly.

Picked up the 3 dreamcast games as a set for $45.00 which I felt was a good deal (I really just wanted Mark of the wolves) and picked up the Tatsunoko vs Capcom stick with the original box for $65.00.

No, it doesn't have any relation with Tectoy. But it has an interview with Stefano Arnhold, known as “Mr. TecToy”, that was responsible for the deal with Sega.

Anyway, the book was made by the people from OldGamer magazine.

Certain games purchased on a military base will get you a free challenge coin. I like them so I keep them but never though much about them as a real collectable. Today just for a goof, I checked Ebay to see if anyone actually tried selling these...had to laugh when I saw the new fallout coin I just got, going for $38 to $68 on eBay. I have to admit, that coin is pretty damn hefty & thick compared to the usual game challenge coins but that's a crazy price for what we get for free.

In any case, I Just thought i'd post a picture of a few of mine in case people here hadn't seen them before.

The top right is sunset overdrive. On the back is the sunset overdrive logo. I guess thats another cool thing about the coins, each side is quite different.

Got Volume 2 of "The Untold History Of Japanese Game development" and Rodea The Sky Soldier for Wii U. Volume 2 definitely edited better with some interesting tidbits, however think author is saving all the really good stuff for vol. 3. Hopefully both volumes sell well enough for Vol.3 to happen.

    1) I got a decent deal on a pack of 2 PC games, 2) who doesn't want a GBC shovelware game in their collection? and 3) My sister had it back when she was a weeee lass (and I had to beat it for her). The memories were worth the 50 cents, and who else would buy it?

Sometimes the planets align and you grab something that makes your year! For me this is it. Over 20 Dreamcast GDR games. This lot includes a variety of games, different builds including alphas, betas and demos. Great stuff such as MSR, Skies of Arcadia and even a Shenmue Face Demo!!!!

Absolutely over the moon...I am going to sort through them on Sunday and then my aim is to get some of them dumped and shared!

Great haul you got there but I'm afraid to say that the Shenmue face demo was actually given away free in Japan as part of the What's Shenmue disc. Your version may different though. If it does that will be interesting.

    Cheers guys, I'm so happy.

Yakumo, you are spot on it does contain content from that disc. I would have loved it to be something different, at first view it looks like it has a different HUD and the option to pick only 4 demo models, there are also no branding screens it bouts straight to an option screen to choose between 4 face demos.

I'm going to explore the other discs over the weekend.

Sounds like it's either the face demo only or an early test version of it. It will be fun to find out, that's for sure.

If you dont mind me asking, where'd you get the GB Boy Colour? and how much did you pay? I've been thinking about picking one up, but I don't want to pay to much for a clone. Do you like it?

I bought it from Aliexpress.com. Just search GB Boy and theres plenty of hits. The one I ordered cost $28.88 . Took a couple weeks to arrive from china to the UK.

Now.. It's a Gameboy Color through and through. Feels like one, looks like one. D-pad is good. A and B are good, but a little noisy. Start and Select are good but the start button can make a random clicky noise when you press it. Not a big deal or anything. They all work as intended.. just not as high quality as an official product. The screen is lit and works fine. It's actually nice to play a handheld gameboy without needing to sit under a lamp or in the sun! It's even clear if you are sitting in the sun, which is great. The sound is LOUD. I have the volume dial at around 25% and it's loud enough for me! The built in games all seem to work, but as is usual for chinese multi-game clones, it has hundreds of entries, but most are duplicates. Not sure EXACTLY how many different games are on here, but there seems to be quite a few. It of course does take normal carts aswell.

There is some dust under the screen, which is annoying.. Don't really see it too much when playing, but I might have to rip it apart and see if I can fix it. I haven't tried out the link port or the ir sensor. The headphone port works, but there's a constant hum noise (kinda like hmmMMmmmMmmMMMMmmmm. hard to describe... sounds like electrical interference maybe.). The power LED is off centre in my unit too.

Overall, I like it, a lot! It's definitely worth $30/£20 that I paid. Might see if i can swap the buttons out for official ones though.

EDIT: One thing i will add. The screen is slightly stretched. It's wider than a gameboy, but not quite as wide as when stretched on a gba. It's not a deal breaker though, not by a long shot!
