Brand Spanking new Motorola Lapdock complete in box for $20 shipped. It was a store display model so it does have some scuff marks and glue on bottom but is otherwise in new condition. Acts like it was hardly ever powered up too. I'm actually using it now with my android PC to type this. LOL

Old one will be demoted to being hacked up for multi input source now...

OK, I know not many people care about them, but I've had luck in the Skylanders industry.

I bought a loose Ninjini figure a month or 2 before she was released. I then proceeded to contact Toys for Bob, the creators of the toys, about it.
They said it was a prototype!
Since she was going to be released, I decided to put her on eBay.
    I got $500 for it!

Picked up Timesplitters 2 as an Xbox classic for 47p! Thats almost criminal! Shame you can't edit the sensitivity, makes the game alot harder to enjoy.

recently i found an NES system w/2 controls, power,rf switch and Dr Mario, The Bard's Tale, Ultima Quest of the Avatar, HydLide. AND lastly Final Fantasy with box and all maps/books (even little foam insert) all in beautiful condition for just $10. the only issue is a little yellowing of the NES console otherwise the rest is like perfect-ish (within reason)

I think I got a 32X and a Genesis for like $10 plus shipping after it was listed as a Saga Genesis Adapter, or something like that.

Never been fortunate enough to find or be given anything for free. I did once find Night Trap on Sega Mega CD in a carboot sale (Yard sale kinda thing we have in the UK) and got it with Road Avenger / Cobra Command for £5, which was nice.

My aunt once gave me a Sega CD MKII as well, which I no longer have. That's about a close to a freebie as I've had. :biggrin-new:

Best find I ever got was a "faulty" playstation 3 from a second hand store for £25
now the fault was the fact it wouldn't play any new games and no matter how hard they tried they couldn't get it to update,
the reason it couldn't play new games and wouldn't update was the fact it was a debugging kit ive had plenty of pretty cool finds like snes's with some good games I.e mario world etc for a fiver and stuff but getting the debug console was my personal fave and currently my most collectible item I have :)

I would love to know how that ended up in Cash Generator.

My local CG is pretty much devoid of all game related stuff these days. CEX does a much better job, sadly the majority of the people they employ know their shit so there's no chance of getting lucky.

think it probs came from sce studios liverpool (psygnosis) got it back around the time they got shut down so i'm presuming a member of cleaning staff or something did one with it to sell for some bonus pay not really knowing the diffrence

apparently they had sold it and the person brought it back because they couldnt play newer games, so shop tried to update it and couldnt so just put it out for spares, unfortunately they had wiped the drive probably trying to update it so no betas or anything on it :(

and yeah i know cash generator pretty onto most thing like most shops due to the damn internets and ebay lol, but i would say cash generator isnt that bad compared to cash converters they are rediculous "OMG OMG ITS SNES WE CAN GET £13 ON THAT AMAZING FIFA 94 UNBOXED WITH SH*T WROTE ACROSS THE FRONT IN MARKER" had a few good buys from cash generator tbh got a snes with 10 games for £29.99 but they threw in a jap pilot wings aswell, they wern't crappy games either got yoshis island, mortal combat, art of fighting, mario world and a few other not too bad ones it all just depends on the staff in store, and if they are willing to haggle, haggled a master system with 10 games down to 15 from 25 in one store as-well just depends on the staff and the area its in ;P

used to be ok in charity shops but now you will always notice staff "reserving" stuff and the one geeky lad who you know has no interest in helping the cats what so ever,
i think its disgusting that ppl go to "work" in charity shop to get stuff for ebay, I always used to throw them a bit extra if i was getting a good bargain.
I have even over heard staff in my local banardos saying how they sold that stuff that came in the other day and got for 30 on ebay etc etc when they think nobody is listening, i once saw a few boxed nes games in there once and asked if i could buy them as they where behind the counter and the "manager" was like oh we have to wait till there is shelf space, went in the next day and low and behold they have gone and she turn around and says "someone must have been in already and got them" with a smug grin on her face, funny thing is they where shutting up when i had asked and had only been open about 15 mins when i popped in the next day.

but i doubt ill find another bargain like that but i still always pop in and have a look :D

Report them to whatever charity they were representing. Nicking stuff from a charity shop you run to keep/sell for yourself is pretty sh*tty behaviour....

Yeah I did actually think of reporting it but call me cynical but has anyone else ever done the maths On figures charity organisations put out there. They are as bad as politicians wording stuff to sound good but it's not, in actual fact just as an example help the children UK had staff management and trading costs at over a million pound out of 10 million made in however many months the list was for, considering all shop employees are volunteersx basically over a million pound went to charity "bosses".
There was another 2 million in there released figures that basically probs went to them aswell forgot what it was something like charity staff allowances or some bs like that, the world is a corrupt thing charity has always been a way for the greedy to get money for nothing, which is why I tend to only donate to small local run charity that don't have executives based in penthouses in London getting flights here there and everywhere paid for with the donations of the public

Anyways sorry for getting way off topic anyone ever have any luck in charity shops for good finds?
