I forgot to post this, but I found a boxed TDEV a while ago. Sadly no USB adapter. At least it makes for a cool NR Reader.

    3DS

My best deal yet ! Found a ''broken'' 3DS last week on ebay. I won the auction and I bought it for 32 GBP. The seller didn't list any details at all except for that it's broken and the picture was stock.
Just got it and it's actually working. And guess what? The firmware is 3.0.0-6E. It reads games, but there is a weird problem, the games don't click in. So can you help me here ?

grabbed a saturn, in near mint condition, no console packaging though. (twenty GBP paid in all)
    transcript of rear panel:
^^ unit doesn't appear breached, NO hardmods...which is nice :smile-new: (i'll get my own outfitted, by a competent friend)
came with three pads, two black 'interact' macro programmable pads and a grey 'wild things' switch array/autofire pad. (came with it's full packaging) and a CVBS cable.
only have two retail games in my possession from years ago, guardian heroes and worms (the worms for saturn is shit, nothing compared the CBM version where you can import user/custom maps from other amiga/PC/mac users)
NO backup media will be used on this, just like my dreamcast, RETAIL only. (or hdd spoof, i'm easy for those two)
    ...
been giving her a doss, can't wait for a hdd spoof for this bitch...if it ever happens?! :smile-new:
    ...
    yeah, whatever.... :|

Got a Commodore SuperPET 9000, semi-working. I still have a few old PET tapes to play games with if I can find them, like the Hunt the Wumpus.

eBay average price for working earlier model PET (not super), $200-$400. Non-working PET is still over $100. There hasn't been any recent SuperPET sale for the price guide. Amount paid: $25 :D :D :D

A very worthy addition to any PCE collection, I think it's a little better than the MegaCD version.

Thanks guys. I gave it a go last night. Man, it's tough but a great ride. I have actually played the Mega CD version which does look worse as far as colour goes but it does have better scrolling in some areas. Actually the comparison between the PC Engine and Mega CD on this site - http://pcenginefx.com/main/lords_of_thunder_comparison.html is a load of crap. The screen shots they've used for the Mega CD version are all blurred. Either they used shitty composite or some sort of emulation filter. The graphics don't look like that at all. Actually, that site is pretty biased towards the PC Engine. Not a good site for comparisons really.

A PSP Free-thousand (see, it's a PSP 3000 that I got for free, get it?)

It's missing the UMD drive assembly, and the battery cover, and the battery it came with is trash, but it boots up just fine.

A few new mint PC Engine games today.

    Genocide and Crest of Wolf.

Genocide is a pretty drab platform mech game which is also on the X68000 and the follow up G2 was on the SFC. Crest of Wolf is a scrolling beat'em up that seems to steel ideas from many other games :) I quite like though.

I got the big box for earthbound and the box for a purple for free at my local gamestore. Some guy came in with a big bag of video game boxes and just gave them all away to the store owner. The store owner then let me pick out two boxes and behold the "almighty rare" earthbound box was there.

More PC Engine love this week.

    Super CD-ROM - Slime World
Super CD-ROM - Ray Xanber III (Quite possibly the finest shooter on the system and that's saying something!)
    Arcade CD-ROM - World Heroes 2
    Super CD-ROM - Cho Ainiki
    Super CD-ROM - Macross 2036
    Super CD-ROM - Psychic Storm
CD-ROM - Wonder Boy III Monster Lair
    CD-ROM - L.Dis
    Hu-card - The Ninja Warriors
    Hu-card - Cadash
    Hu-card - Final Soldier

That's it for PC Engine buys for a while I think. I must have spent a small fortune on PC Engine stuff in the last month. Ray Xanber III didn't help either. Man, that is not cheap.

Nice lot Yakumo. Would love to get involved in the PC Engine scene!!! But I can't....

For the time being will have to console myself with this (sorry for the awful joke)

Anyway early serial Jap AES, less than 20,000 and two brilliant games, I have died and gone to heaven.

If I was you I'd get out of the Neo Geo scene before you start to sell off your clothes for new games :D

Great buy! I love playing Pulstar but it is a tough one. What Samurai Spirits game is that?
