    It was used for this:

Bishi Bashi Champ 3 special demo from PSBBN (Bishi Bashi Champ3 special was a collection of minigames from all Bishi Bashi series)

Which contained 3 of the minigames in it which again, came from one of the Step Champ games (for playing with the DDR foot mat)

While it is impressive, that is not the same as 100% accurate emulation. You end up going against the law of diminishing returns. Like identifying things that don't work properly and would therefore never be used in any piece of software.

AFAIK none of the c64 emulators emulate the memory corruption caused by VSP either.

Very great, nice work, i hope the GSM 0.23x still works with this version because is very useful
for the PAL games, i can test it if needed.

About the support for USB then is possible load the games in a PStwo Slim? or still only in the Fat?

About the subroutine handler for the LibCrypt question is very exciting, because there are some
games which never got a patch from the scene and now could be possible play them.
This trojan files are supposed to be created with a tool from the original bin/cue image file of each game?

    Keep the good work,

    Regards.

Some reports of games tested with the USB patch of pops-00001,
this games works well as in r12 of internal HDD:

    - The Adventures of Little Ralph) (NTSC-J)
    - Policenauts (NTSC-J)
    - Final Fantasy Tactics (NTSC-U)
    - Guilty Gear (NTSC-J)

This ones works bad as in r12 of internal HDD:

    - Ridge Racer (PAL): Several graphic glitches which makes it unplayable.
    - Metal Gear Solid (PAL): Freezes before cut-scenes like the one with the boss Darpa.

This one works with a little difference:

    - Pop'n Music Animation Melody (NTSC-J): This one in USB have the sound glitched and the
graphic musical notes are missing makind the game unplayable.
With r12 in HDD the sound works fine, but also the graphical musical notes are missing.

    Regards.

    Thank you for the reports.
A few games that work when run from the internal HDD don't work when run from the external HDD. Here's an example with the UK version of Colony Wars :
    Internal HDD vs. External HDD
When run from an external HDD, the voices and the BGM stutter, and the game crashes after the craft was launched.
No problem when run from the internal HDD (that game requires 2 of the POPStarter compatibility modes to be activated though...)

Also note that fragmentation matters on USB flash/HDD. The first time I've run Colony Wars, the VCD was fragmented and the intro FMV did stutter outrageously. After I defragmented my external HDD contents, the FMV was fine. I guess we can also expect severe crashes when there's too much fragmentation...

Algol is making loads of USB tests. For the POPStarter development, I use only the internal HDD mode, so I get the most accurate "compatibility" status of a game when trying to bugfix its emulation.
The PFS wrapper is not integrated in POPStarter, but loadable externally, so Delcro could update it or use another one anytime he wants.

Sorry for not putting POPStarter 13 online last month. We found bugs a few days before the D-day; then after fixing the bugs, I wanted to add more features and bugfix the emulation of a few games. The thing is still in development at the moment....

    You are welcome.
I see, then the compatibility is a little more low for usb, well if its a only a few games
is not so serious and before never existed that possibility.
From the videos i not noticed so much the stutter in voices and BGM, its a pity the crash.
Just curious, maybe crash is due to the slow transfer of the usb ports, like happens with
the PS2 games when are loaded from a usb device? or something more complex?

Compatibility modes? sounds a new feature.

The problem about fragmentation its a thing which i expected when happens the same for
load the PS2 games in usb devices, then usb users needs defragment regularly their usb
devices with some defragment tool like Auslogic.

I use only the internal HDD and its the ony device in what i'm interested, but a lot of
spanish users who have only a Slim console are waiting with total interest the popstarter
    with usb support.

Then i suppose that if there is any possibility to improve the usb performance is through
    improving the pfs wrapper.

You don't need sorry, thank you very much to you for continue developing this toy, is
better fix and improving bugs and games, take all the time needed and keep the
    good work.
Thank you also to the ones who are collaborating, testers, pfs wraper creator, etc.

    Kind regards.

BTW is it possible to add multitap support? I just realized that multitap isn't working (maybe cause ther is no mtap library at all :) ). It will be very fun at least for crash bash (the best 4player game after bomberman series)...

Yes, multitap support would be great, I would really really like that there would be support for button remapping so we can use analogs instead of directionals in some games. Keep up the good work folks.
    Cheers.

    Your intervention ...

Hello ElPatas.En Français : Auriez-vous pu remplir toutes les cases SVP pour chacun des jeux testés ? Cela serait très sympathique de votre part.En Anglais : Could you PLEASE have filled all the boxes for each game tested? That would be very sympathetic nerve of your share. En EN : It is clear that the “rev12†is obsolete, it can however help kHn to flush out some problems with plays which have similar troubles. Hello "emuler" and you all users of ASSEMblergames ...

Gardez bien vos jeux PS1 "au frais", ils vont chauffer dans vos HD (et peut être aussi sur USB).EN : the list (rev13) of the games is pre-filled of many titles like that the “rev12â€. It misses the comments and some other informations. Very many games are not there because they were not tested yet. I am sure that a good amount of between you are impatient to fill out this list. I encourage you to do it as of his publication because “krHACKen†will need your returns to improve “POPStarter" still more. Keep well your plays PS1 “with the expensesâ€, they will heat in your HD (and can be also on USB).Regards.

It is a great idea to be able to load through USB. What are the directions to load from USB? I only understand how to get Popstarter rev12 to load through Internal HDD. I have a very good regard for being able to load an .ELF from Memory Card. In my 50001 NTSC Console, with no MOD inside, I could not get HDLGameInstaller.elf to boot unless I copied it with it's required /lang/ folder reside in same directory, to a memory card mc0. I tried to get it to boot from Browser 2.00, but just get a black screen. I changed the system.cnf to read BOOT2 = mc0:/PP.PS2OSD.ELF then in browser it says "Disc error" or something similar. After I resolve this, to get HDLGameInstaller to run from Browser, It will make things much clearer, to just install PS2 Games. HDLGameInstaller, is still a little buggy but It does work, and I would like to have it as I turn on my ole' PS2.

Tecmo's Deception - Invitation to Darkness

I was able to load this Game, but then after when I entered a room with those 3 triangles that set traps, and teleport you, It froze the
second time, I attempted to figure them out. I was first teleported out, when I pressed action button. Then I re-entered the room,
and a cage fell from the ceiling. I moved away to another triangle, then teleported out of the room, and bam. The game froze. I was
getting into this cool old school rpg game.

Anyways, I hope someone figures this one out some time, It is much funner to play it on PS2 console rather than on your PC emulator.
I guess I got to get use to a pc emulator for now.

Geez, I had Medal of Honor work, and it is really blocky detail, I used to be amazed with this game and its graphics and AI. I still
am. However, after a couple of level saves, I decided to try Medal of Honor Underground version. It was a BSOD, but you could
still press select+start+L1, functioning. The way I got it to work though was a mystery. with my hex editor, I got the original Medal
of Honor, loaded. I also loaded "Underground" version. I compared both and they looked almost identical. I had to copy from original
game and 'paste write' some contents to the "Underground.bin" file. After that I ran the file with cue2pops2.exe, and it booted up
and began to work. A mystery, but In some tutorial found from Pops-00001 docs, where everything is hex-editing, I recalled, that
this is what POPS-00001 users, were doing to get their games load.

Anyways, where do we post updates to inform test results of games tested with Popstarter rev12?
