Official Neo Geo emulator is already in the works. No official word on where the hold up is but rumors point to sony. Some NeoGeo games are already ESRB rated for PS3/PSP & a recent PSP firmware added folder sorting (like PS3) yet it list a PC Engine & NeoGeo folder (PCE is out in japan but the point is it list folders even if you don't have content for them, unlike on ps3 which hides them, as such we see the listing for NeoGeo even though none are on the PSN store in any region). So to put it simply, NG is coming to PSN but no official date on when.
When I read the first sentence I thought you were making a port. Then I continued reading and got disappointed
Well that's fantastic news. Hopefully Sony will stop faffing about and release it very soon. All I want to do is play MotW and the LastBlades with decent picture quality on my 50" telly, without arsing around with expensive upscanners, RGB mods and eBay. Official or otherwise, bring on the Giga Power
Well apparently the reason for the delay is because they want to improve the download manager to 1.1. I've just read its gonna have new features and tweaks.
I hope that's true. I'm still waiting for PC Engine (ok, TurboGrafx-16) on US PSN. I want to play this. Also, any news on Dreamcast games on PSN / XBL? Haven't heard anything about it after E3.
These people wanted to be the only source of jailbreak. They borrowed heavily and now sony has all their stock, they are in court for ages while in debt. Also, someone cloned the jailbreak so while they are going bankrupt in court for years, chinese pirates will steal their market. They were so stupid for selling it from australia.
as far as i know the devices haven't even been delivered to the shops. so all they might get at this point are the samples that were sent to the shops
If I understand what's going on, Sony attacked the distributer (along with others in Australia) not the maker. The rest I agree with. It was a high price item in hopes of a quick cash grab before it gets cloned by another company.
The Court hearing has been moved to Friday now, as the Judge was busy apparently. The injunction is also extended, so they still can't sell Jailbreaks until Friday at the earliest. According to Mathieulh, you either want one of these or this one and there might be some DIY fun in the near future. I can't seem to find anywhere in the UK selling Teensy boards. Maybe it's worth organising a group buy and shipping a load over from the US?
actuarially its NOT from the AU its basied somewhere in Russia i believe because if it was in china then it would of been stolen and cloned already reports are that it just uses the developer jig device id while simulating a usb hub and simulating 6 other devices some shell code was reversed apparently that allowed them to discover that much also the hearing has been pushed back to friday also the rest of the world is NOT affected by anything happening in the AU so its free to sell to the rest of the world also to people whining about the high price STOP its NOT mad for $5 it costs close to $50 to make given its a one off design cant just slap together parts so $150 is the stander rule of x3
Everyone go buy a teensy or teensy ++ now I already got mine. The teensy code is still being ported, but the teensy ++ should work now.
piracy usually starts on a platform with the linux/homebrew excuse. the irony here is that since linux was natively available until recently on the Ps3, it's a matter of time before some group starts doing a linux port that uses both the DDR and XDR RAM etc.
