Well and it aids abuse and fraud (hords of kids pulling internal dev network and store apart now) and drives things to the worse for others. It long passed away from the helping homebrew idea to a tool of mischief breaking some of the few options serious interested 3rd party devs have. Basicly this cfw has nothing special beside the option to abuse and thats what makes it popular.
It allows you to (un)lock Trophies...great -___- So this firmware doesn't do anything useful, does it?
You wont ever be able to do that due to OTP limitations in the HDMI chip (Sorry to be a show stopper here)
Guys thanks for the info on Region mode. There is any mod I can do to play PS2 imports on a ps3? (I mean, hardware mod)
Yes, there is one: - sell current PS3 - buy old 60G or 80G model with PS2 BC done \o/ If, however, with "imports" you mean "backups" and "backups" are "pirated copies", then no, no way, get a modded, real PS2 for that.
But unlike Rebug you don't have dumb kids going onto forums bragging about it and asking for help with burning GD-Rs with their mostly retail DCs (not 1:1 but you get the idea).
Pretty sure it did. But of course if opening console anyways any high toc disc is probably ok. Also the other route is swapmagic>openps2loader or similar ps2 homebrew app.
