Probably just a matter of taste. Frankly, I find the Xbox 360 and PS3 rather appealing from a console design standpoint. It's time for game systems to "grow up" so to speak. This is a good effort from the respective design teams, IMO.

The new Xbox doesn't look as bad as I was expecting. It's the PS3 that is a complete wreck, in my opinion.

Well its a wank option for lan as you cant have 8 players and then its a wank option because say your playing a game online and some bitch is gonna have 2 screens and an advantage where you dont... (like a huge map screen or whatever). Its not a level playing ground....

Just saw some videos - Killzone - Simply fantastic. period - Vision Gran Turismo - They just used GT4 with some new stuff the PS3 can do. I'm happy to see more than 6 cars on the track (WAY MORE ), the pitcrew looks incredible too. Remember that the first GT2000 demo on the PS2, was just GT2 using some of the PS2 new features. When GT3 got released it was tons better than GT2000 demo. Just imagine what Polyphony Digital can do for GT5 (specially after the great Forza Motorsport as a competitor). - FFVII - Technical Demo for the PS3. Hope they make a remake of it, but i already read somewhere that they won't. Shame really. - EA's Fight Night - Looks great, but still just a tech demo. - Getaway - Looks good, just like the ones in PS2. Let's just hope they make a decent gameplay this time. - Eyedentify - Looks interesting. Maybe it's an evolution of the usage of cameras like the EyeToy? - Warhawk - Finally!!!! The sequel to this incredible game. Gonna go play the original one as soon as i get home. :boobies2

Why isn't anyone complaining about the overall size of the unit like they were with the Xbox? Why isn't anyone lamenting the fact that you apparently won't be able to stack your other consoles on this thing? People were quick to bash the Xbox 360, but strangely, they remain silent in regards to the PS3. This does appear to be a fairly large console...see below:
Personally I think the 360 is ugly as well but it's far better looking than this shite ! The PS2 is ugly no matter what anyone says to me. Ever actually looked at one,no I mean really looked at one? It's ugly and this PS3 is no better. Big, bland and plain stupid looking. Consoles are meant to get smaller. Looks like Nintendo are the only ones who can fix this. Their N64 was smaller than I expected as was the cube. Let's hope the same thing goes for the Revolution. Yakumo
I liked the Xbox360. In fact i'm already planning to have one. This never crossed my mind with the Xbox, but the new one seems to be great. Plus the free Xbox Live (Silver) and backwards compatibility will let me play the handful of the Xbox games i liked on the Xbox360.
It's not as large as the Xbox. Sure it's larger than the 360 but in terms of the last generation it's not that big. Someone has already mentioned that it doesn't look stackable.
