To be fair, you said in the last thread someone told you I was Haunted (which was a lie, you just made it up and used the "someone told me..." to try and backup your nonsense). While I actually agree with most of your points about all this - you certainly come across as a conspiracy theorist.

 

You obviously haven't read the GPL. You can't stop someone from making a profit from your GPL code, the whole purpose of the GPL is to try to get all source code released under the GPL including commercial software.

The only credit you need to do is provide a copy of the source you used including their license. Because GPL is viral then to link to it you need to provide your source too.

Its certainly settled - I couldnt care less, I was just pointing out you certainly DO sound like a conspiracy theorist quite often. You should do that less, as you actually do have valid points most of the time.

It makes you look ignorant. Actual conspiracies (where two or more people conspire in secrecy against a third part) have historically existed and there is nothing wacky or crazy about it, on the contrary it is quite serious.

Regardless of who is right and wrong I believe the argument should be kept firmly on the board if only to provide visibility and to protect the interests of those who may not be aware of past discussions.

I'm only thinking of those poor saps who may be fooled into shelling out PayPal payments/donations for something that should either be free or shouldn't be distributed at all.

I'm not saying that will happen but I was there in the beginning when this all started and I just have a really bad feeling about it. I'd love for someone to prove me wrong as it's an amazing idea but I fear the credit for the person actually responsible for making it may be grossly misplaced.

Ever heard of that fellow Krikzz? Well guess what, his demonstration videos showed the SAME process. He loaded games from PC to the flash cart via USB, as he hadn't finished the SD card development yet. ALL Flash card makers do the same thing. They get the card to work first. But because you have a hatred for "Haunted," he is dubbed a faker. Your posts though are really quite a trip to read. I'm sure cybdyn is getting a good chuckle as well.

 

This is a guess, but it's probably hooked up to the USB interface chip and they are designed so that they can get power either from the host or from the USB bus - this is necessary because a USB device has to enumerate as soon as it's attached, and if it couldn't run from bus power then it would be flagged as broken after the connect event.

That doesn't look strange to me at all - I have a couple of boards I designed with a USB interface on them (FTDI FT245) - and the "USB" LED acts exactly the same as the one in that video - it lights as soon as the board has power from any source.

 

ftdi is simple usb to fifo, we used TUSB3210, it's programable controller - so , led blinks by algorithm i make my self on C))

Looks like a nice device - I've also used the Cypress parts (CY7C68013A?) and although they are nice (and support high speed operation) they are also expensive and overkill for a lot of applications - that looks like it sits nicely between the stuff like the '245 and the Cypress parts.

It could also mean the sort of person that hangs out on Infowars or ATS and has a conspiracy-based explanation for basically everything. Some of those people scare me...
