great show, really! can you still give input throught psp? and also would it be possible to use wifi for connecting to pc? I know that i'm asking too much, but you know one never stops wondering... and also, since you were working on snes emulation on the DC i wanted to ask you (an expert) if you had at your disposal an official sega katana devkit, would you have managed to create a better emu or it's just the DC that doesn't stand a chance? Also another thing i've always wondered... what is a "speedhack"? game with them runs far better than others on low end machines like on the psp...
very great, and awesome. Now we just need a screen recording program. And then even RTC can have PSP reviews(if there comes a windows version of the PSP on tv screen ). Damn, that is awesome, thumps up
what is it RTC? and for what concerns scren recording there's plenty of progs around like fraps (sp?) and such
Fraps is (for now) no good, my solution dpends on Linux. But you are right still - its no problem at all to capture an SDL surface from a Linux desktop. Tools of choice: "Istanbul" , "gtk-recordMyDesktop" , and others. tubo Fairly sure someone should soon release a Windows Guide. As i said, if i get a few spare cycles, i ll have a go as well.
As I already had cygwin installed, and the ps2toolchain working, I installed/compiled the psptoolchain and usblink, most of the things have been compiled without errors until I try to compile usbhostfs_pc and remotejoy(missing sdl libs, thing like that), I"ll look into it tomorrow or saturday if I find the time. tubo, you mispelled the svn link to the psptoolchain, it's in "trunk", not "truink".
thanks! @unclejun thanks for that - fixed. Please let me know any other errors you find in the tut, and i ll be happy to fix them and credit. tubo
don't hold your breath for me to do it. I could not be less excited to make this work under the developer shambles that is Windows. If i should do it, i ll do it sometime, but not in the next weeks. tubo
hey, i wasn't pretending! sorry iof it looked like that, but i was just wishing for someone getting interested and working on it
I just got this working here at work and it is pretty cool. I have had to show off about 10 demos so I am sure that I will be getting calls all weekend from people wanting help to get it working at home. I am thinking about trying it out at home on OS X, is there a PSP Dev environment for OS X? I guess I could search around for that before determining if I would want to go about something like that. Good work...really cool program.
macos mucky: check the ps2dev org toolchain guide and forums. People run it on Macs. Remotejoy should also work, SDL headers should be available i would think. The only thing is the usbhostfs - see if you get that to compile with the libusb headers. best tubo
I am seeing my brother in law tomorrow night, he should be able to take a look and see if he can do anything then.
Apparently a guy at maxconsole has compiled all the stuff: http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=61117&highlight=windows
remember it all started here. the Youtube video has already attracted some 35000 views and Engadget et all picked it up already. Karsten, you go t that Windows compile working?
to those who won´t use FRAPS as a screen recording software, there are Wisdom Softs program called . AutoScreenRecorder Pro the only bad part is, it is a commercial program. So you need to pay for it.
i have to admit that i can't understand their instructions at all i'll try again soon i guess i was too tired for reading english at that moment EDITED: it's great for the youtube video pal! maybe you'll get a few pennies put of it too do they really pay for the most viewed videos as they promised?
