I tried to locate the menu with that information without success, do you know where it is?

not sure where you got the idea but only memorycard region problems that I can think of are Gamecube's which effectively refuse to work cross-regions.

(on a side note, goddamnit i want a PSX ;__;)

What happened then? Just for future reference?

Edit* I need to clear the cache I think as I replied to a very early post and when my post appeared, a new page of posts suddenly turned up! This site used to do this to me all the time, but it's not done it for months. Argh!

You could reformat GC mem cards and get them to work. More a matter of what region the game that formatted the card was, than where the card actually came from. Also, some games IIRC didnt care what region the card was.

well yeah, you can only save JPN games or USA games for example, but cross saving doesn't work. if there's a jpn save on the card, usa games blatantly refuse it :(

it's not much of an issue unless you're like me and only have one memorycard :p

    i gotta lern2type... -_-

Checked my PSX version and I'm already on 1.31... :banghead:

Sounds like I won't be playing this game after all...

Anybody wants to swap a PSX for a PS2 Jap???

Post that in marketplace and I pretty much guarantee you'll get a response. That's an instant upgrade for anyone with a standard PS2. :)

Lol, I bought the PSX mainly for shooters for now Gradius V and TF VI which both work fine, that racing game was cheap anyway so don't really care, it'll become more of an issue if the games I really wanna play are incompatible.

    What's wrong with yours then?

I took mine completely apart to give everything a good clean, it's quite a beast inside... unless your mobo or HDD is dead maybe there is a fix.

OK can you hear the HDD spin when you plug the console to the mains?

yes, when I plug the console to the mains, I hear the HDD spin and I hear some kind of fan. this lasts for 5-10 seconds ^^ then I hear nothing anymore. (the power led is always red/orange, but not blinking)

From your video it seems to boot but then you get static from the tuner, which I got the first time too. What happens after that? Can you do anything with the controller? What about the buttons in front of the player?
