Public Beta/Xbox Live Beta/Kisok Demo Collection

Yeah, if they get released let me know and i'll see if i can get the game to load a level.

 

does that mean,you might be able to make outbreak public beta 1 playable offline?or just the unknown version 2??

 

I assume it shouldn't matter although each would require their own separate unlocks since they aren't the same. Is there any specific information on what exactly is stopping you guys from loading levels, I assume it's just a menu saying it can't connect to servers since it's an online beta?

 

yep.it tries to connect to the server,but since they are down,its not possible to play the levels.i am not even sure IF there are any levels on the public beta v1 disc or if they are just saved on capcoms server

 

I don't think that's possible as the PS2 doesn't have internal storage to store the level IF it's downloaded from Capcom's server. However, it could load it directly into the ram but I highly doubt that they would do that as it could be unstable if the connection is lost. You could probably check the file listing to confirm it, I guess they will have files named level1, level2 as such etc.

 

nope there arent any files named level1,2,3.it seems just the menu is on the disc,the rest is on capcoms server

Great collection Joseph, I specially like the Final Fantasy XI beta version. I'd never seen it before. Was it hard to find it?

 

nah,they arent that rare or hard to find.i guess the japanese version is a bit harder to find than the oxm version

The 360 beta is dirt cheap to find for FFXI, since it was given out for free to just about anyone.

Depends on the version. There were at least two beta versions of the PS2 version in Japan, those were before the game was released some some stuff was changed. The USA version of the PS2 beta occurred after the first expansion was released in Japan, so any changes were usually related to the translation itself, rather than the gameplay. The 360 beta came years later, so it was really just to test the 360 version, which was compatible with retail accounts, and was used as a way to try and get some people to buy the 360 (in Japan really).
