I posted that a few days ago but it got deleted.:banghead: I heard it at work the day after it happened.
He was pretty frail and ill at the time though. The court case would have been a huge media circus (the issue already was) and would have gone on for many months. It was the wrong move on his part, but there is some logic behind it.
Well, you are going to be upset then... "During the 1980s, Jackson and Bubbles would wear identical clothing and often eat at the same table. According to reports, in 2003, the chimpanzee tried to commit suicide." It's just seems to be getting worse for Mr. Bubbles. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/...himpanzee-Bubbles-pines-for-former-owner.html
Hmmm... I wonder how he tried such a thing. It's sad how people cash in at times like this. The trainer would probably say anything for a few bucks.
Worst offenders = Record label handling his material. They'll have seen a significant cash value rise in their MJ stock holdings. Expect a reissue and all sorts of DVD guff to appear in time for Christmas.
How in hell does a monkey "attempt suicide?" Did they find a razor blade in his banana? God damn media, making everyone stupid....
Who knows? Swinging up to the top branch, closing his eyes and launching himself into the great unknown? You gotta love tabloid journalism.
I remember reading an article in a British news paper that someone who worked for Jackson had ran over his pet chimp, bubbles which got him fired. They made a big deal about it. To be honest though,, if someone had ran over my loved pet I'd fire them too. Anyway, enough of the bad mouthing Michael Jackson. Sure he turned out quite odd but he was a legend. More of a legend than anyone else in modern history including the Beatles. People such as Elvis don't even come close unless you're an American. Michael Jackson reached more people on this planet than anyone ever through his music. Whether you hate him or love him, there's at least one track by him that you'll enjoy. Yakumo
Well, not to go off topic. Then during the song A Question Of Time in Parken, Dave grabbed his crotch the same way as MJ did. But then again hey MJ made some good music, even though he was bit of an oddball at times.
I'd hate to necropost and bring up MJ again when we're sick of hearing him, but this kinda brought my piss to a boil. Such a controversial statement from him. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-gH2gAXjAw& Pete King must be the biggest troll ever. The fact that people still keep talking about Jackson's court problems even after death despite all the wonderful entertainment he created is disgusting and disrespectful. People, he was alleged for that stuff, that doesn't mean he was guilty! It's tasteless. As a congressman, he really should know that. Instead, he joins the "he did it" crowd like some without anything to back himself. It's like he's a puppet for what the naysayers claim. Yes, MJ's was eccentric and it was pretty damn weird for him to sleep with kids in the same bed (and I don't condone that stuff at all), but that wouldn't necessarily make him a molester. Especially when you look consider his particular past, as he never had a proper childhood. Keyword is alleged. And he was acquitted. This “congress”man should understand that. But then again it's the typical guilty until proven innocent for Michael Jackson. While I agree the coverage has lasted far enough, I disagree with his baseless claims that MJ was a pedophile. Without anything to prove himself (aside from the bedsharing, but even that's debatable), that just makes him sound unprofessional. And for him being a congressman, I would expect better from him. I hope this hinders his re-election for congress. If any.
Ahem.... As much as I hate to say it, the three musical entities are probably all equal in terms of "legendary" status...regardless of who you are or where you're from. The Beatles influenced Rock Music like noneother, and were no doubt influenced by Elvis. I believe it was Lennon that said, "Before there was Elvis, there was nothing..." Elvis was not only the first "rock star" (pushing the conservative envelope of the time) but he was doing prodominantly black music... what the fuck? Totally ground breaking. The Beatles: 'nuff said. And Jacko, has no doubt influenced Pop music like noneother. Personally, I'd love to think Jacko had no impact on my life. I bought Thriller on vinyl, and never even thought for a fleeting moment of buying another record of his. I fucking hate pop music. However, he's influenced so many other musicians who have influenced others and so on and so forth. Elvis & the Beatles the same. Totally imeasurable, but they are all around the same magnitude. You're not American? Doesn't matter. You think the Stones, Beatles, U2, Lou Reed, Hendrix (American, but got fame in the UK) or the Spice Girls would be the same in a world w/o Elvis? According to: http://www.movietome.com/people/157589/jimi-hendrix/trivia.html When it all comes down to it, one has to ask themself who is missed the most? The guy who had issues that redefined "having issues" and a chimp, the drug addict with a questionable love life but a big heart, or a dope smoker who above all else was anti-war and anti-violence? I know my answer, even though I like Elvis' music the most.
http://www.gossipgamers.com/a-virtual-tour-of-michael-jacksons-arcade-room/ Not sure how old this is, but GOD DAMN. Virtua Racing, Crazy Taxi, Tekken 2 - this man had a good taste in arcade games.
One more thing worth noting: A line or two from The Beatles' "Hard Days Night" makes appearance in hands down the best ambient album ever made: 30.7.94 by Sun Electric. Elvis' Prestley's "In the Ghetto" can be heard on the track "Elvis on the Radio, Steel Guitar in my Soul" from the second best ambient album ever made: KLF's Chill Out. Where's MJ?
