Lol, just realised that amitiel is probably the saem guy behind the other new account from China "Kingdom Hearts". And if that's the case, then he's definately a liar, as the user "Kingdom Hearts," is the same guy behind a Chinese eBay account with only 1 feedback who just wouldn't accept, that I wouldn't sell to him, because I had no way to evaluate his buyer integrity. That user had purchased a STARS console from an Italian seller which he allegedly got returned because it had a fake sticker. And therefor I conclude that if they're the same guy, amitiel dosen't have and never had a perfect never powered up STARS console.:banghead: I'm sure assembler can check the ip's and compare?
And to clarify neither Consumed nor Yakumo are my friends, spoke briefly to Yakumo and never before to Consumed, but I sure wouldn't mind having them as friends
Regardless if amitiel is a fake account, my point remains the same. I still think it's wrong to call an item that has been used (powered on) as absolutely brand new. The chance that the console wouldn't work is really small. It's a brand-new console after all.. so why ruin the fresh ambiance of it for the sake of an absolutely unnecessary test? The buyer of such an expensive item will probably never power it up either! That's like opening a sealed Border Down only to prove that a disc is inside the case. "Look, it's there! But it's still new, never used, 250$!!!"
Now you're just being silly. Besides, when I bought it from Japan-Games, he himself had made a video of it... I actually did this to improve the ad to make sure that potential buyers could bid with full confidence, instead I'm getting flamed by some brand new moron from China, because of that, I really don't get it!
But I think for something to be new, it must be unused completely. SirGadget said it has been turned on a couple of times in it's life time, yet it is still classed as new. How can that be? How many times can people turn on a console and still be able to say that? I think to turn on a console is to put it in use, no matter if to just check it works for a few seconds or to play a game for 1 hour or something.
Well, this question clearly splits the crowd right down the middle, no doubt about that. But still that China guy dosen't have to be an ass about it, and keep throwing trash at me, how much should one put up with, how much should we tolerate in here in general? He's made IIRC 25 posts on this forum since registering, and all of them has been offensive attacks on me! And it all started with him stating my item wasn't worth what I've paid for it, and I therefor should reduce the price, which is quite hilarious when the user convenietly pops up in here just after the user "Kingdom Hearts" stopped bothering me, plus he states he has one!OH:
Cables and the ports they go into will get some wear even from just one insertion. New is unused unopened to me. Then there is unused open box (I'd consider like new), then there is open box with item being used.... one step away from being loose XD (Insert "Like New" used/tested condom analogy to get the point of what is new or not across)
It was the same guy. I did an IP address check. Yep, both the same provider and same location. You won't be hearing from him again. Anyway, let's move on from this new or used debate. Personally I wouldn't mind being showed that it was tested first but that's just me. Anymore comments on this topic will be deleted. This is the rare owners thread after all. If anyone would like to continue this discussion then please do it in the un-moderated forum. Yakumo
I knew it, and thanks I totally think people are entitled to have their own opinion on this subject, just didn't like the harassment I won't comment any further on this subject
My rarest Saturn items. It's a start Unfortunately Yuukyuu Gensoukyoku and Nissan Collection: Terrano & Primera are without spine-card. If someone owns complete copies of those CD's, I'd be more than willing to pay a good price for them. :O
No need to put up with it mate. Some people can't state their opinion without harassing. If it happens again, best thing to do is ignore it or report it to the mods.:flamethrower:
Wait, DoDonpachi and Layer Section II are rare? Or are those special versions of some kind or something?
Yes, they are the sample versions. Not particularly rare or expensive (about as expensive as the regular versions, 20-40 Euros), but you don't see them every day. These are probably the most common discs on the picture, along with Super Tempo and Doom. Although one of the Tempo's is sealed which makes it a bit rarer @Hexigon It's the EMIT Value Set, all three volumes of EMIT in one box. Any EMIT game on its own is pretty common, but the boxset with all three is even one of the rarest commercial Saturn releases.
Yeah I know, just felt like it was like running crying home to mommy But you're right, should've either ignored it or reported it:nod:
It looks great! Always loved big box sets.. Do you know how much it's worth? I also sometimes fight back, I'm usually not the one to end arguments. However this messes up the boards, and seriously what's the point?:-(
Game-wise I don't own anything really rare, the rarest stuff would probably my FF7/8/9 games for PS1. The rarest thing I own is my Takamine 2010 LTD miyabi guitar, lefty version. Only 280 of them were made, and I suppose only a small amount of those were lefties. My MIJ lefty Fender Jazzmaster is also uncommon, at least everywhere except Japan. I've also got some pretty rare vinyl, for instance a Jazz-LP limited to 200.
