you could make torrents and limited your upload on the torrent to 30kbps so there is always a seed , or not
Wait... 100 mbps is COMERCIALLY available in the first world? Because... well, fast Internet here is about 1 mbps, and maybe 2mbps in Mexico City. I can't even begin to fathom such speed. I was on dial up until this year, actually. Man, what I wouldn't do with 100mbps... hell, with 6mbps. Anyway, Yakumo, please let us know when the prisoner has met his sparkly and violent trip to Valhallah.
Retro Core Volume 11 is available now on DVD !! 3.8gigs of gaming goodness plus the destruction of the PSX which is pretty funny. I couldn't stop laughing at parts of it when I was doing the editing. The DVD comes in a standard CD style case with front and back covers plus a little inleaf explaining about the show. The cost of the DVD including postage is 9 pounds or 15.60 US dollars. Please state whether you'd like DVDR- or DVDR+ since some DVD players don't like one or the other. I can only accept Paypal payments though. PM me for the Paypal account. Yakumo
yeah, it will be online from August 10th. I've just got to compress the MPEG2 files to MPEG 4 and the PCM audio to MP3 which shouldn't take that long. Yakumo
Yeah, I know but here's the problem. If I copy interlaced video from the capturecard or video camera then convert it to MPEG 2 for DVD it looks like shit running on a TV but fine on my TFT monitor. Probably because itd double interlaced. Once by the recording process and then again by the DVD player or TV. Anyway, to cut it short, after deinterlacing the video it works fine on a TV or PC. The only draw back is that the image is slightly squashed but nothing near as bad as PAL game systems though For super high Gig downloads I'm afraid that just isn't possible at the moment. I have no space on the HD. Yakumo
I finally got the DVD covers printed off. Here's a few pictures of then. FRONT INSIDE FRONT BACK & FRONT Yakumo
hmm... think I saw that character on the front cover some where... very nice... better than my last attempt which was back in 2002...
Unlikely I've put a disclaimer on the disc saying all art is the copyright of the respectful owners. "If" Compile or Sega since they now own the license get upset about the use of Puyo Puyo (it won't be on Volume 12 anyway since each month will change) then I'm sure they'll just ask me to remove it first before any suing goes on Yakumo
The image is squashed?! That sounds dodgy - dunno what sort of screwy de-interlacing that is What does it look like on a TV when not de-interlaced? Does everything look super-jerky-all-over-the-place? If it's that then you just have the field order the wrong way round (you need to set "top field first" or "bottom field first" correctly when encoding interlaced MPEG-2). If you send me a segment of the original captured video (just 5 or 10 seconds - some place where there's loads of motion), I can try and work out what the fudge is going on.
I like it :smt023 As for the interlacing, well once copied to DVD it makes fast action blur like hell. Sort as if there's an echo effect on the image. After deinterlacing it looks fine. The boarders only appear on games captured with the capture card directly connected to the console. Stuff by video camera or flash animation is all full screen on a TV. On a PC everything is fine. Here's a couple of shots of it running on my TV. The DVD Menu Screen. This is fine Flash Animation (This is fine) PSX Section filmed with the camera. (This is fine) Galaxy Force (Has boarders) Thunder Force 4 (Has boarders) Games that are in high resolution such as Samba De Amigo have very small boarders. It seems to be something to do with the resolution of the input signal. Yakumo
frankly to me the border doesn't bothers one bit... but then again boder being bother it won't bother... aw crap...
yakumo, i must say that every show gets better and better.......are you still gonna let people download them for free.?...... that being said...i kinda feel bad not giving you sumthin for such an amazing show...you put alot of work into it....... when i get a paypal account(which might be tommorow or next century) i will send you a donation.......
