Did you know he's been doing some net shows as Alan doing his DJ show? I got them from UK Nova but I guess you can find them on the net by typing Alan Partridge Fosters larger (they are the sponsores). If not let me know and I'll upload them somewhere for you. They may be limited to UK viewers you see. Yakumo
Yeah, all the streaming I found is blocked in the states. I did find a torrent of the first 6 episodes though.
I'll send you a PM now about them, mate. Retro Core 3 Vol: 3 is out now on YouTube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1QNUD1X_pc and the official site - http://www.segagagadomain.com/RetroCorepage-main.htm Yakumo
Holy crap man! You're really crankin em out. Keep em comin. Edit: I just watched volumes 2 and 3. Somehow I never realized before that Clockwork Knight was a Sega game. For some reason I always thought it was developed by Capcom or something. It looks like something I might enjoy. Regarding the scaling in XBLA games: I actually think that bilinear filtering is probably the best way to play old games on an HD display. Actually, I think ideally it would be a combination of that and scanlines, but I think the general public doesn't understand the use of scanlines. It makes no sense to them. Anyway, even a very sharp CRT has some bleeding or blurring of pixels. At a distance it looks very sharp, but if you look very closely you'll see that each pixel is really like a blurry glowing sphere (or if you look even closer, 3 glowing slits). My point is, it's not really a bad approximation of a CRT. Of course it lacks the scanlines, but that's really a matter of aesthetic choice. Personally I find using no scaling whatsoever (square pixels) to be very annoying. It literally hurts my eyes to play games with pixels so sharp. I also hate that 2xSai shit, because I feel like it's a bastardization of the original image. That looks the worst of any scaling option I've found.
You're doing 360 games now? What's next Random pro wrestling references and unnecessary Japanese female nudity?
Nope, I'm doing retro games that you can buy for your modern console. No new 360 games shown at all. Just ports of old games with the newest being Dreamcast wich is 2 Gens before. Yakumo
I was joking anyway something came up before I could put a link in what I was saying. By the way I have a Correction you said in the show that all the games are on both HD consoles, however Guwange is 360 exclusive. I think all the other are multiplatform though. Oh wait VOOT is 360 exclusive as well a friend with a PS3 confirmed that to me (Bummer for PS3 owners)
Really? I thought I said that most of the games were multiplatform? Oh well. That's what I ment to say.
If they are in forced widescreen they're probably also on PS3  Damn Sony. I might be down for a VOOT or Force match later on too. If I catch you online I'll drop a note or beacon or whatever.
Very nice, sir. I had to watch something after Full Metal Jacket, today. This was a good refreshment from my mourning of Cowboy and Eightball.

As well as that there's the normal Shite of the Show (Strider 2), Star Wars on the 32X, Exhaust Heat 2 for the SFC, Thunder Blade (X68000 VS Mega Drive) and Castlevina Bloodlines. Yakumo
I think you are right but since I only have the katakana to go from I ended up writing Maicomsoft. This is why I hate katakana. I just fucks up all none Japanese words.
Their website is http://www.micomsoft.co.jp/ . Katakana is weird, but it's entertaining if nothing else. In katakana it's "Maikonsofuto," right?
Yes, that's right. That's why I wrote Maicomsoft. I'll just drop the "a" from now on  I agree that katakana can be amusing but it's more annoying than anything. My wife was trying to tell me about someone on TV but because she only knew the piss poor katakana version of the name, I had no idea who she was talking about. In the end it was Ian Thrope (sp?) the Australian swimmer. In Japan his family name sounds like SOAP. I shit you not. Even my name in Katakana is pathetic, SUMISU. Sounds fuck all like Smith
I think the name "Micomsoft" is funny too, because it sounds like a knock-off version of Microsoft. I wish they made a product called "Micomsoft Wandows." Considering how badly Japanese people butcher English, it makes me wonder how stupid I must sound when I try to speak Japanese.
