yep, I've covered 100's of games in Retro Core since I started way back in 2004. Man, I've been going just as long as the Angry Videogame Nerd. I also remember that the very early Retro Core shows were made by pointing a video camera at a monitor. A video camera using TAPE!!! well, it was digital tape but still tape. Yakumo
Classic Game Room still has you both beat by about 5 years or so. If you remember awhile back you got an e-mail from somebody who wanted use Retrocore for an exhibit....That was me  I still watch the old episodes from time to time Especially anything to do with the Saturn, since I like just got one. Long time fan here. Although that has nothing to do with my futile attempts to do an impression of you. Actually a Friend in Birmingham suggested next time I do a Geordie accent That's like just as impossible. Maybe I should look south for my accent...like Wales or something  Go back to the first few Retrocades it was clearly a Retrocore Ripoff and I wasn't even hiding the fact I was. Case in point Episode 6 (my 2nd Favorite of anything I've done so far)
I started watching RC back in 2006 and 2007. It boosted my English skills quite a bit at the time since you used to mumble a lot in those commentaries, hahah. I really enjoyed the old style (the white/blue background with the Techno music to announce every game) and how many different things were covered. That was the first time I heard about the PC-88.. oh yeah, good times. I bet in 30 years from now, many aged gamers will remember the show fondly as part of their youth.
Hehehe, ave, I mumble a lot in real life too. Lalilulelo, yep Gloden Fighter is unplayable. That's how bad it is.
Wangan midnight 3 I think was where all the music he used was from. There was also an Ikaruga remix I can't find anywhere that he used. Good shit.
Retro Core 3 Volume 8 is out now on YouTube and the official site. YouTube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=viCk_zmTs1k Retro Core Site - http://www.segagagadomain.com/RetroCorepage-main.htm Quite a packed show this time round featuring The Tower and Yellow Brick Road (Shite of the Show) for the Sega Saturn as well as the code to play as Ginger in the Clockwork Knight double pack, again. Also featured in this show are Double Axel and Cop 01 arcade games as well as Runark and Shui Hu: Feng Yun Zhuan for the Mega Drive. Yakumo
Thanks very much for yet another great episode! I'm actually quite a big fan of Nichibutsu's Mag Max, so to learn they produced a slightly earlier game in a similar style - Cop 01 - has led me to track this one down as well now. Also, to answer your question asked during the Clockwork Knight sequence, there are plenty out there who show cheats that don't work, although I can't understand why anyone would ever do such a thing. Does anyone else remember the original ridiculously long "Nude Raider" code (which later became a reality via patching) or character named Tiger that Saturn+ magazine claimed was hidden in Virtua Fighter? What a load of shi...
Yeah, I know what you mean but I actually showed the cheat working yet someone said I was talking crap because I showed it on the Boss Attack mode. Basically, I re-did the cheat just to prove that other guy wrong
Been watching for, gosh I can't even recall how many years! Don't ever stop Yakumo! Retro Core is a fantastic show! Recently plowed through a bunch of Retro Core 3 episodes. I especially enjoy the new "Shite of the week" intro in 3. Literally sittin' on a toilet! XD
Volume 9 of Retro Core 3 is out now on YouTube and the official site. This show takes a look at some of the very first games I ever played on the Commodore Plus 4 as well as a few arcade and console games. Official site - http://www.segagagadomain.com/RetroCorepage-main.htm YouTube - http://www.youtube.com/user/Yakumo1975?feature=mhee Yakumo
HMM so you do a Commodore memories after I did an episode of Retrocade on Arcade memories. Inteeeeeerrrrrrrrrrresssssssssssssssssstiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing
Not really. I didn't know you did an arcade memories. I've been too busy in work to watch much video online the last month or so. Even the latest version of Retro Core took me about 3 weeks to do and it's only a 30 minute show.
Arcade memories and the latest is a "French gaming" episode. I think we're just on the same Wave length. Not that I mind You're in the credits of every episode either under special thanks or as our "Sega Consultant"
Nice. I have a new section that I'll be adding to the show from volume 10 which should be interesting.
I look forward to it. I'm doing mostly shmups in Episode 18, Episode 19 I'm making fun of iOS and Anime based games plus stuff from Anime Boston for Episode 20
Volume 10 of Retro Core 3 is out now! See it on YouTube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2fD762pqHAM Or the official Retro Core site - http://www.segagagadomain.com/RetroCorepage-main.htm On this week's show there's A.B.Cop for the arcade, D-Force for the Super Famicom, Ghostbusters on the Mega Drive and Bosconian for the Sharp X68000. I also take a look at how arcade conversions looked in the 16bit days. These days arcade perfect conversions are common place but back in the past it was a whole different story. In this new feature this week I look at Denjin Makai (arcade) and Ghost Chaser (Super Famicom) both pretty uncommon games and both the same game despite their different names. Yakumo
You know what would be funny? If we both did our shows and played the EXACT same games. We should Coordinate that some time.
