Hey Yakumo, sorry for asking but have you done a Retro Core episode covering Senkenki Kyouden aka "Legend of Sword & Fairy" yet? this one: http://www.segagagadomain.com/saturn16/senkenki.htm It's actually considered one of the best rpgs ever made back in Taiwan/China (which Softstar Entertainment is originated at) and this particular game actually has a android port (though kinda tedious to play with the random crashes every now & then) but it is a highly enjoyable game regardless! :) trust me ;)

No, I've never covered that on Retro Core but I'm sure there's a video of it on my site. To be honest it isn't that good compared to the better J-RPG titles.

Well its debatable imo. But everyone's intitled to their own opinions, but since techinally the game did originally came out as a MS-DOS PC game back in 1995 so maybe that's why it controls kinda bad sorta on Saturn. But I still think its a pretty good underrated gem honestly. But even though there are better rpgs and you could be correct about that :) I still think its a worthy title to try out or buy even if some may disagree ;-)

I'm pretty sure at one n point in time I actually a Chinese language version of this game which I picked up for a customer. It was identical to the Japanese version bar being in Chinese. Even the games cover was the same.

This is not a real Retro Core video as such but I think it fits in this thread.

It's that time of the month when I take a trip up to Manga Soko to buy some new games. This place is amazing with thousands upon thousands of games from 8bit systems such as the MSX and Famicom disc system right up to PS4 and XBOX ONE when it's finally released in Japan.

    Time code
10:00 - To skip directly to actually walking around the store (misses out all the driving)

21:14 - to see my buys for the day. Lot's of PC Engine love on this shopping trip.

If you like this video, please hit that like button and subscribe to the channel.

New Battle of the Ports coming in a day or two with a new Retro Core also in production.

Are you going to upload any of the newer Retro Core episodes to the official site? The newest one on the site is episode 15.

Eventually, Yes. I'm planning a new Retro Core page at the moment so I want that to be ready before uploading any more stuff. The files are on my server though if you'd like a direct link?

That was like me waiting for the file to upload. It was about 1am when I uploaded it but just couldn't stay awake. A busy day in work was the cause.

I do enjoy these video though. I'm living vicariously through you since, lord knows when I'll ever get to Japan. You haven't done any Arcade videos in a while come to think of it.

Nice PC Engine purchases :) Since you mentioned you're a fan of Maison Ikkoku, have you played the PCE game? (It's one of the few to have been fan-translated.)

Yakumo great road and shop Video. Keep going on. I really like your videos and work behind it. In the Retro shop it is a little hard to see the titles. Maybe you can move the camera a little bit slower ? But i dont know if it really helps.
    Have a nice week Yakumo
    bye
