All that quality and mint audio equipment at decent prices... But it was the "Junk Section", with that Super Famicom for 15 dollars and a grey Saturn for 25 dollars that made me feel like this.
Not A Retro Core video but a new series that exists for my son. You see he wanted to be on some of my videos. I bring you, Honest Let's Play the pilot episode
That was really cool Yakumo, you guys seem to have lots of fun together. By the way, loved when your son started mimicking Deadpool after winning. I think you should try playing a beat 'em up on the next episode. And you could also show him some classics he might not have played yet.
Do you mean the Honest Let's Play series? This is just a one off for the time being to see how well it does. If it is well received there will be more. My main series are Battle of the Ports (New video each week) and Retro Core which comes out once a month or so. There are also hardware reviews and other videos in between.
Finally the new Retro Core has been released. Man, this took an age to put together. Retro Core 5 Volume 18 - The Mega CD
A top quality episode! At one point I had a complete Japanese Mega-CD collection don't think I played 90% of them, man did I miss out. Some real gems on show there Mark. A nice, wide selection of games and a good to see some of the more obscure titles. If only the Japanese model 1 could be picked up cheap....
One glaring omission was the Mega CD port of Lords of Thunder. It's MOSTLY the PC Engine game but I think a bit easier.
Good shout, that's a great game, gets a bit of stick in comparison to the PC Engine version although I didn't think there was much in it!
Really enjoy how you manage to mix unknown and uncommon games to some others that are important, but still avoid showing the obvious ones that everybody else does. I'll always appreciate the time and effort you take to make those videos. PS: Wolfchild has a Master System port as well (that has no ingame music by the way).
Great video Yakumo!!! Don't think Lords of Thunder got released in Japan on MegaCD? The port ain't bad different soundtrack overpriced in Europe, still prefer the PCE version.
I once had a near full Mega CD collection too but sadly like an idiot I sold most of it. These days it would cost way too much to get everything back. I'm glad you liked the show. This took me a long time to put together. Thanks Johnny. Oh, I forgot Wolf Child got a Master System port. I really need to check that out some time. no, Lords of Thunder never got a Japanese release. To be honest the PC Engine CD version is much better anyway I do own that. The Mega CD has some poor colouring, details missing and an arranged soundtrack which IMO isn't as good. I love the Mega CD as you can see from this video but I do think the PC Engine CD Lords of Thunder wipes the floor with the Mega CD version.
I sell it on Yahoo Auctions for twice the amount I paid for it normally. I never loose cash on reselling these things.
