The problem isn't the train wreck. The problem was how they handled it. I doubt it very much that my paper was destroyed in a wreck. Even if the box was mangled a few of the pieces are worth paying for professional restoration and I'd rather have them damaged than not at all.

I'd be more than happy to buy a few of these items for a second time. I hope someone does find them.

Hard to do when they won't even discuss the matter with me. Someone notified the press and a UPS PR agents wan't to speak with me. Hopefully something will come from this.

I wouldn't know where to start looking and at this point I dunno if anything can be done.

It was used for the poster or a magazine ad. Still I think its one of greatest loses in the bunch as Atari art like that just never turns up.

I really think the pieces are gone for good at this point but I continue to hope for a miracle.

Contact all the blog companies and such, like Joystiq or Kotaku, they are great for getting the word out there.

If you are dealing with the gaming press, be sure to emphasize the fact that these are historical gaming treasures which face being lost forever. If you are dealing with the mainstream press, be sure to emphasize that these are irreplaceable items, much like family heirlooms, antiques or precious photo albums which many people would consider priceless, but are being written off as cheap trash.

Wow, I'm just astonished :eek:h: . I'm really really sorry. What a lost :S . If this had happened to me I had suffered a hearth attack (leaving the money thing apart; thousands or millions).

If the miracle doesn't come up, at least I hope we can help to spread the message and show how these people have contributed to lose some of the most important stuff in the history of videogames (in my honest opinion).

I wish you much much much luck. And, choosing among the negative possibilities, at least I also hope that someone recover that drawings, although they've to be re-bought again.

Jesus christ, my heart jumped in my throat when I saw that list. The most maddening part is that we all KNOW those pieces are sitting somewhere right now, dump or otherwise, and could still be saved.

If you're going to get large pieces of irreplacable art shipped to you, then maybe you should use an art / museum shipping company, will cost a lot more but you'll get your items safely, transported safely and well looked after. Ask your local galleries / museums on who they use.

I know the size, weight and specific description of the box which would stand out in the crowd. Its in a very specific box and would be easy to spot I just can't get anyone to talk to me.

I contacted a PR rep who I was told was interested in helping. No reply.
