What I mean by "new" is the fact that both DC and SAT were dead by 200? but some Saturn games (around 10) poped out in some magazine ads and you could find them on stores. Something like tomorow you wake up and find sealed GameCube games on shelves again and ad in websites.
Prices were 20~30 Reais, wich was 70% to 90% cheaper, I think. Kinda US$5~10 today, maybe.

About the Derby Stallion and whatever, it's well know that those cases weren't sold outside Japan.

Magazines stated that they "deleted" anything on cases like "THIS IS COOL" in Tectoy's factory, as well the PAL-M conversion we saw.
I don't have any idea what they used to delete those logos. Is that easy? Alchool?

Also, I think that some models in Brazil are not 110/220v, instead being 100v (JP) or 127v (USA) only. Probably the first and last batches, because they were directly imported and put quickly to retailers.

And just for curiosity, in a (not so) recent interview former Tectoy's president told that Sony asked them to manufacture PS1 in Brazil by 1993~1994, but they said "sorry, we are 100% with SEGA".
Nobody wanted that poor little mutt called Playstation...

Back again on topic... Any news about a 0.900 revision? ^_^

They have them on Ebay. Pretty expensive but worth it imo. It's my favorite model outside the Skeleton which I already own.

I bet he came regret that, a few years down the line. But then he had this loyal friendship with Mr. Hayao Nakayama from SEGA. And I think honor was one of the things on Tec Toy rules book. That I can say.

I just want to thank all of the people who are working on this project.
I got my action replay card flashed to pseudo 8.31 using the instructions on page 18 of this thread and I used zorlon's disk.
I am currently playing Christmas NiGHTS with no issues.
This is awesome and I am glad I don't need purchase a saturn modchip or do the swap trick any longer.
    Thanks.
    :)

A guy I know had a Victor Saturn which came bundled with a Video CD card. It was slightly different from the regular Video CD card in it could not read photo CDs.

Exactly like the Video CD card which comes bundled with the Hi-Saturn. I once had a Hi-Saturn and all that is left from it is the MPEG card ... :\

There are 2 models of Victor Saturns. The gray one with the oval blue buttons is very common and you can find a lot of those in Brazil as well. The light gray one with the round colored buttons isn't that common. It's a nice collector's unit.

    Oval buttons = RG-JX1 series
    Round buttons = RG-JX2 series

    I want a JX2 :)

I'm guessing it was the RG-JX2-B console which came with the VCD card because it also came with the game Vatlva.

    Box for RG-VC20: http://segaretro.org/File:Saturn_RG-VC20_box.jpg

I think those were only sold in Asia.

I have a HSS-0119 and RG-VC3 coming in so I'll send you the board scans.

That's understandable. That's what I was doing with all mine. I made a nice lil profit after region and cdr modding them.
