Thanks so much guys! So no, inserting a flashed AR does not bypass the region jumpers on the motherboards. If the region jumpers are fried, you are screwed. Good thing motherboards are cheap down here :)

@ Druid, I sent you a PM about some jumper info.

But what if there's nowhere left to ground? As you can see from the screenshots, points 7 and 10 are completely trashed. There's nothing to solder to. What other numbers can I use?

I posted screenshots of the fried jumpers...

    Love.

    - "Drywall" is the name of Scud's partner.
    - Scud is the game you've played yesterday.
    - You played with him.
    - Since there's enough save space you got an auto-save.
    - And it's written there... That's a game.

No such conundrum. Elementary my dear. :)

    Well... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think he was going for the "comedy effect" not about making any sense. :)

I added the idiot to my ignore list. Every single time he responds with something sarcastic or negative on my posts. Either be useful and help out or keep quiet is kinda my thing.

eh uma pena que eu nao posso responder em portugues aqui :(

Yeah... I mean... y'all noticed that I'm trying, right?
Seriously, am I being polite enough? Really... now I dunno. :\

Fortunetely I didn't accepted his desperate friend request.
Lots of highly excited jibber-jabber PMs and now some kind words about my fat momma.

And he undone the request yesterday...
Next... "heportz u" part of meme.

    DAT grasshopper behaviour... :(

Yeah... exactly. That behaviour that kills any social network in Brazil.
Funny fact that Orkut will finally die this week.
And people keep asking me why I never used any social network. This "kkkkk" isn't an answer already? By the way, they are almost writing it on news papers and magazines. ON PAPER!

Well, back to thread. That's not interesting to anyone here. Pseudo is. :)

He's nothing more than a .br troll. It's a shame every forum has one. At least the majority on here are helpful and know how to respond properly. I do appreciate those who have helped out.

Will do, thanks man! I do appreciate the help.

This thread has gone way off topic. It is about Cyber Warrior X's boot loader. It is NOT a general Sega Saturn discussion thread.

If you're not discussion Cyber Warror X's boot loader, or giving information that may assist him, look for a more appropriate thread, or start your own. Some other things to remember.

    • Speak English in the forums.
    • A little on-topic humour is fine, but general humour belongs in off topic. Don't post pointless replies.
    • Use the edit / multi-quote buttons when there have been no replies.
    • eBay links belong in the eBay thread.
    • The Sega Saturn Programming and Development forum is for Saturn programming chat. General Saturn chat belongs elsewhere.

On that last point, I've just spent a lot of time going through the past month of this conversation and had to merge many posts due to double posting. It seems the usual reason is because you wanted to quote two people. There's a multi-quote button - it's next to Reply With Quote (the speech bubble with quotation marks and a +) - use it. If you can't say it in one post, you're saying too much ;) lol

Just tried flashing my Action Replay 4MB Plus with PseudoSaturn-0.831 install disc (from 1st post) but it fails to Verify Flash. Any advice on what to try next.

    Update:
    PseudoSaturn-0.831 install disc = fail
    Atlas install disc = fail
Saturn cartridge firmware flasher disc= fail
tried on 2 different saturns = fail
tried 2 different pc to burn install cd's = fail

I'm able to restore AR4MB+ firmware with Atlas but not with Saturn cartridge firmware disc.

    Final Update:
    Action Replay 4M Plus

Flash Vendor ID : BFBF - SST
    Flash Device ID : 1010 - SST29EE020

    successfully flashed via Atlas disc

    Man, that was a nightmare!

With the newer AR+ clones will it be easier to add the comm port and flash via PC or desolder the flash chip and use an EEPROM reader.
basically what I'm saying is how hard is it to fit a parallel port on the new carts which don't have them anymore, what's the ic that's missing on the Pcb?

also sorry if this has been asked before but, if I flash this to a AR do I have to keep it in the console all the time, will I have to use two carts to still be able to have extra memory?

    thanks

Just flashed my AR using the Atlas disc, worked mint first time. Awesome alternative to a modchip. Just one bug repot, I tried launching a VCD and it seems to crash.
