If you flash the cart you will be unable to save games to it.

Save feature will be added someday, probably. The 1/4MB RAM won't change, you'll still have it.

I just wrote a new loader to try and sort out the compatibility issues. Patches are in flight to CWX; we'll see how they work out in the wild. I'm having trouble testing because the laser on my Saturn is nearly dead - if I crank the current pot up to max it can read some CDRs, sometimes. So. I was able to boot Shingata Kururin Pa!, at least.

It also turns out that not everything is going to be fixable. Skeleton Warriors appears to independently reauthenticate the disc during the logo screen; that's going to need a patch. There must be some others that do that?

Hey guys, I made a video and went as simple as I could using the ATLAS disc. Hopefully it sorts out some confusion (Like I had haha).

This might sound strange but seeing as were allready replacing boises in saturns to make them region free, cant we add the loader directly to the sega bios, space might be a problem, but I am sure we can remove some stuff, boot animation etc...

It's already been suggested. You'll just have to wait and see like everyone else. Maybe someone with the skills needed will do it.

At the moment it would be best to wait anyway this is not a perfect loading method just yet...

Just wanted to say "Good job" to everyone involved. This really helps keeping one's Saturn intact and still be able to play backups. Prices are going crazy indeed. I am hoping to install it on my Action Replay 4 in 1 Plus very soon, i have a friend who keeps several cartridges, if anyone by any chance thinks that one of them will work it would be great, since he also has an unmodified saturn. Sorry if the pictures don't look good and all, it's how he send them to me ! I guess that the import only carts are ruled out from now.

Well, 1 and 3 are import adapters and won't work, as you suspected. 2 is for backing up saves from the internal memory and won't work. #4 is a RAM cart and - you guessed it - won't work. I don't recognize #5.

Edit: Found some info on #5. It's just another memory cart, like #2. Time to buy another Action Replay!

Well, that's what I thought when i saw the carts as well, but since i'm no Saturn expert, i figured I should ask first. At least I've got the Action Replay 4 in 1 Plus, so we might share that one (if the flashing goes ok, which I hope it will !) until he finds a decent action replay cart, thanks for the heads up !

Not sure if the ~130KB PseudoSaturn-0.831\PseudoSaturn.BIN is the chip contents or an (obviously much bigger) installer, but things could get a little tight since the region free function alone seem to require much less space than a complete AR. A Pro Universal Adapter for example has, afaict, 32KB as opposed to the Pro Action Replay's 256KB. How big is the actual loader itself?
