Managed to fit it in an regular US cart, took some time tho but well worth the effort. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6674379/20120425_214909.jpg (Note that the SD card isnt sticking out that much as in the picture)
@staylor The load times are instant, can't even compare to the PowerPak. Gonna go play some now, had some other stuff i needed to do earlier, except fitting the cart that is.
Load times are probably like Mega EverDrive, hit start and basically almost instantly SEGA logo is popping up.
Here you can take a look at the load times: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5df5P95ntQ SD2SNES with BSX-Games: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYAdgFJP32c MSU-Video Test: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOdzl-yFbuI Road Blaster Beta: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXpiFNLNsdE
Oh, this is my site :encouragement: Yes, you can use a normal FX-Cart and make two slits, one for the sd-card and one for the usb-port. You don't have to drill holes for the LEDs. They are not as important.
i not sure, but portable clone may have not enough power to supply sd2snes. probably sd2snes require bigger current than normal carts
Is there like an official logo of the sd2snes? this one for example? http://sd2snes.de/files/1chip-videoquality/shot3-old.jpg or http://img.youtube.com/vi/9DdJw3GaAJI/0.jpg
The first one is Ikari_01's logo, but there is technically no "official" logo, just like with EverDrives. Actually his logo has been updated a bit, but looks very similar to your first picture. The second one is a trademark of Stone Age Gamer and cannot be used for personal or commercial use without permission. Label is photoshopped on.
Preorders Please !! Preorders please !!! hehehe im desperated after seeing other dealers shipping... btw there will be a normal, deluxe editions ?? i want to have the best, perhaps i even will buy 2 of it
Not much I can do. KRIKzz obviously can sell them much earlier than me. I will begin taking pre-orders probably in a week or two. At this time we will only be selling Deluxe since supplies are limited.
I'm interested in knowing if the sd2snes will have game genie support? Also will it be able to do any sort of emulations, or maybe the Super Gameboy?
According to his blog Ikari_01 will implement GG/PAR support eventually. No idea on emulation, but the Super Game Boy is not emulation. The Super Game Boy actually contains Game Boy hardware.
Are you going to get a cart over to Gamester81 to review? That would be pretty awesome and slick. His videos are pretty entertaining to watch.
