sd2snes will be available via retrogate and stoneagegamer soon. other everdrive retailers probably will offer sd2snes also. first batches will be not very big, but later will made more and more. cost is unknown yet, but should be between 150 and 200 usd for board only (probably closer to 200). pretty expensive, yeah, but it is ferrari in the world of carts
Go here to find out what ikari has gotten to work on sd2snes. To this point, he has all the DSP's working as well as Capcom's Cx4. SuperFX is I think what he's working on currently. It also supports MSU1 audio. Congrats on getting this deal krikzz, glad you are involved. Do you know if this board would fit a case cut/made for your Super Everdrive? From the pictures I've seen, I'm not sure if it would even fit in a US SNES shell.
will not fit in precuted for super ed shell, but will fit in regular shell. both types of shells are supported (regular shell, and superFX shells) regular shell need bit more modification, cuz need to make two extra holes for edge connector
Interesting... Producing and selling a card for a german guy, but not shipping to Germany. Or are you going to change that now Krikzz?
I am so excited, as the SNES is easily, without question, the greatest console of all time. I will be ordering one the MILISECOND they are available. Thanks so much for all your hard work, Krikzz!
We now ship to Germany First Class again. We stopped shipping First Class for about a year, but have opened First Class back up to Germany again. We are already working on Deluxe version as well, I know that may not interest most people here, but just FYI.
Do you plan to offer a Super Famicom Shell version? I noted most of your nice kits only come in Super Nintendo Shells which is kind of a bummer for me.
I'm going to have to start saving up! Nice to see you guys are not trying to outdo each other rather, you're working together.
You are incorrect. Our Super EverDrives come in either North American or Universal shells. its an option right there on the Super EverDrive product page. Universal shells are size of SFC/EuroSNES carts, but have two slats in back to allow them to work in North American systems. The Universal shells are brand new. We may wonder why we even bother offering a NA version then, well we found most NA customers prefer the NA style cart, plus we have a lot of NA cart shells from DSP-1 donors. We don't want to just throw those shells away. Lol well most people on this forum seem to be do-it-yourselfers from my experience. Which is not a surprise due to the main subject matter of the forums here. Not everyone of course.
