hi guys, iam one of the lucky guys which has already the sd2snes home. My model number is 13 and i have also the Everdrive. At first, its a VERY BIG different between loading time in comparision with everdrive. If you want to play a game from everdrive, you choose the rom, the flash will be delete and program with the rom. -> L...o...a...d...i...n...g... Play If you want to play a game on sd2snes you choose the rom from sd card, press the A button and the game start immediately -> Play! Further you can play Mario Kart, Star Ocean 96Mbit hack, could explore some BSX features and if you like play a MSU video from each movie/trailer you want... There are so much possibilities for romhacking games with msu video. See the current project of d4s - Road Blaster - http://dforce3000.de/ Let me say only one last thing... buy it and enjoy the best flashcard for snes! greetz red
If it does support everything, I really see no reason to keep my Super ED and my SNES PowerPak. Support for FX chip would really be top notch. Will definitively pick one up as soon as it's available.
do you know if there' is a pre-compiled version of bsnes which run Road Blaster, for mac? i can't find any on the byuu page and can't figure out how to compile the source by myself
Doesn't bsnes just run the game by default anyway? bsnes should have full implementation of the MSU1 format because byuu created it, and Road Blaster presumably follows the format spec because it runs on read hardware via SD2SNES.
I have my SD2SNES already here, too. PCB Nr. 11. Awesome device... the BEST Snes Flashcart, ever. I'am happy that krikkz is helping out so that other people enjoy the SD2SNES, too.
unfortunately it doesn't reach the latest version so MSU isn't supported i got hardware error trying to launch Road Blaster
Decompressed, not decrypted. The creator of that hack even told me once that he probably could have optimized it and gotten it down to 64 megabits. But chances are no one is going to bother to do that in the future.
Very unlikely. The Star Ocean hack was done ages ago. If he never polished it, I can't see why he'd mess with SFA2. Besides the SD2SNES's fpga can likely handle SDD1.
Recently, just found my old SNES at my parents house. Been researching the Everdrive, and I must say its a fantastic looking device. Been on the fence about purchasing one, but now I see this. Would it be more worth while to just sit and wait for this to be released, since it's stated to be "soon". Thanks, Junior
Hi, i have a SD2Snes and show you the first MSU-1 Game http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHj0oRkr-6g&context=C3725f0dADOEgsToPDskKAg_KUmTOaXT8GxYDcMMXr i have in my channel another nice Videos about Nintendo Merchandising...
i have not tried this yet on my own s-everdrive (so probably it already work and i m asking a dumb question) but what about compatibility with Sufami Turbo?
I'm looking to get in on an order/pre-order if possible. Does anyone have any details on when and how that will happen?
