Probably, yeah. I think people perhaps overestimate how useful they will be, though - especially people wanting to use them for whatever mods. Yes, it's nice to have the circuit diagram, but you still need to know what you're doing. From a servicing point of view, they're useful - but they reference items that you still won't have, so that limits their usefulness. It would be nice if they're shared, sure - I mean I didn't see the chip-in, even. If there were some that weren't group bought, we won't get to see those. It's a shame they're photocopies as these can be rough, and I'm more interested in originals personally. Why didn't anyone go for the Mega Drive supplement? That had no bids, I see.
Was there a mega drive (model 1) supplemental? He may have put that one up after i started watching everything and missed it then. Yes tgere were duplicates of 3 of them. Mega Drive 2 service manual Mega Drive 2 supplemenatry MD/SCD IC lists
Well i can wait i had a look at some info on the pictures has helped me identified the voltage reg on the mega CD power PCB and game gear PCB to fix non powering systems. so i thank him for that but service manuals will be cool and i can fix some of my other stuff. all we need now is a nomad and cdx service manual.
Are you sure they were all the same version, though? There are manuals for different VA revisions usually, plus supplements. There are often several supplements. True Druid, custom chip info can be useful... although often, someone's already reverse engineered it by now. Nice to see the official data, anyway!
I really need to start making a digital collection on these, start printing then and putting then in a nice blue folder XD
Well when i get this lot, smspower get their lot and spritesmind get their lot, you can do what you like with them.
Ok guys my father inlaw has these. I estimate i can get them thursday night at the latest. I could have gotten them on friday but the father inlaw forgot to bring it home. Also been a delay due to our local floods roads being fucked up etc (live in Queensland) and that we (wife and i) are in the "sell a car and buy a new car" phase. Going to miss the V35 Skyline but need something more "practical", we got a Mitsubishi Outlander.....yawn.
Had a look at what he has on ebay, we have all them. A chap from Spritesmind got the Model 1 and Accessories Manuals. Anyway My Mother inlaw was nice enough to drop these off today. Good news most of it is readable, allthough some of the board scans are no good and the schematics....well we'll have to see as where the paper has folded the letter are worn away. I won't be at work tomorrow but I will start scanning these Thursday. I have said I will start with the Saturn one as these guys put heaps of faith in me. 8Bit will be next so I can ship these to Bock (SMSPower fellow). All Misc. Pics
I imagine someone will eventually redo the schematics or at least clean them up. Just get as high res as possible!
