After mucking about on these forums for a while now, I guess it's time to post photos of my PlayStation collection.

To give some context to my aims, what I've tried to get is a collection of every different colour PlayStation, PlayStation2 or PlayStation 3 (PlayStation 3's are not pictured, but I have a Japanese 20GB and 60GB version, plus a competition only Australian Formula 1 GP limited edition PS3), plus every significant limited edition model. Along the way I've collected a few accessories, and a lot of development hardware and software. Although collecting dev hardware has never been a huge priority, I've managed to stumble across a fair bit of gear over the years.

    Anyway, on with the show.

The first photo is of the European Automotive Color Collection lot of PS2s. There's five in the series, but I've only got four (missing the Snow White model). All of these are NTSC US models (limited to 666 of each). They also came with matching colour stands, shown in the next photo.

Next is the Spring Color Collection 2003 PS2s (SCPH-39000X). Around 10,000 of each of Silver, Sakura and Aqua were released before a more general release of these colours as the SCPH-50000 series occurred. These came with matching colour stands as well, although I'm missing the Aqua stand.

The next photos show the limited edition translusent Zen Black and Ocean Blue models, about 15,000 of which were produced I think.

The next lot of five are the various different colour versions of the SCPH-50000 series (Pearl White, Ceramic White, Midnight Black, Satin Silver and Sakura).

And a further four limited editions of PS2 of various model numbers, including a limited Toys R Us Rachet and Clank Japanese PS2, and the gold Gundam pack.

And finally for the PS2, the four different Slimline PS2 colours (plus the pink slimline in the photo above).

Next, the three different colour PocketStations (White, Crystal and Neon Pink, only available in the Tokomeki Memorial limited edition pack).

Now for the PlayStations. The first photo is of the original Japanese and European PlayStations (SCPH-1000 series), plus a Hong Kong Video CD version, then a PSone combo and separate PSone and PSone LCD screen.

And of course, no self-respecting PlayStation collector is without one of the "10 Million" edition PlayStations. Only 100 of these were released, and this is unit number 100 of the NTSC J version.

Next up is a European Net Yaroze plus Software and Codewarrior for Yaroze.

Now onto the PlayStation Portables. This photo shows two PlayStation Signature line PSPs, plus one of each colour released, plus a rare Coca-Cola edition PSP and the limited edition Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops camoflage PSP. The new Final Fantasy limited edition PSP just arrived, and another seven PSP Slim and Lite versions in various colours are on the way here now....

A bunch of PSP accessories (GPS, camera, Digital TV adapter) and shown here, plus carry pouches etc.

Now onto the juicy development hardware. First up is a complete European Linux kit, plus a boxed Japanese Beta Linux kit.

The photo below shows all of the original PlayStation development hardware I've collected over time, including manuals and some software.

Joining this are the two (green and blue) debugging stations.

A photo of my PlayStation2 development software and manual kits (one in Japanese, the other in English).

Next up is a photo of the two hard drive kits (one Japanese, the other not) plus my three PlayStation2 debugging stations.

And of course, I finish up with a photo of my PlayStation2 TOOL development kit.

Hope this has been interesting for some of you.

    Dave (sequent_blender).

That's a sweet collection of PlayStation stuff you have there!
And you have original boxes for nearly everything, it seems!

How much of that is unopened?

Most of the retail stuff is unopened (except for the units that I use like the Japanese PSone and the PAL PS3), but the dev stuff is all opened (it's hard for private folk like me to get new dev hardware).

So many boxes, imagine a christmas tree near, it would be a nice pic.
    Awesome collection, I can't compete, I have a box that you don't though :)
    No PSX in your collection?
What are the white discs in the ps2 dev software picture?

Yeah, I've wanted a DESR 7700 PSX, but have found them difficult to find and/or extremely expensive for a system that's basically useless in Australia...! Maybe soon, along with my Snow White NTSC PS2...!

Most of the white discs in the collection are from 1999:

EB-S8110 - Development Software for EE Release 0.4.0; and
EB-S8120 - EB Tool Chain Release 0.4.0; and
    EB-D9000 - User's Manual Release 1.0.

The other white disc is the Runtime Library Release 1.4 Full from the year 2000 (I wasn't sure which white discs you were talking about...)

So the white are older than the green and blue ones, anything interesting on them, docs for the EB boards or early samples like the "yellow plastic ducks in the bath" one?

They are earlier than the blue ones... I've never look at what's on them to be truthful. I'll make a point of having a look this week and get back to you.

I've still got a lot of stuff to get. I have a heap of accessories that I didn't photograph, and more I still need, and also so far have no PSP or PS3 dev hardware or software (although I'm working on it...).

Part of the problem is finding stuff complete in the matching serial number box, which is one of my key criteria. This has meant I've passed over stuff that I would actually quite like otherwise, but that's the fun of collecting....!!!

Some more photos of some of the accessories:

Photo below shows other PS2 stands, including a relatively rare one in midnight black (I haven't got one for PS2 and HDD, but I'd like one...!)

The next photo shows some random accessories, including a rare Dual Analog (not dual shock) controller.

This photo shows some of the official PlayStation bags I have (not very interesting, but whatever...)

The next couple of photos are my PSP games and movies.

The next couple are my PS2 games. Some gems and some trash....

And finally my PSone games. Again, there's some good ones here, but also some that make me wonder what I was thinking...!
