Since i dont know anything about saturn... i just know a few good games, could you guys which games are worth buying and if that game has an american release, also if i should not get the saturn version of 1 game and get the psx version "bad port, etc" thank you.
my recommandations (us games only) -Every games with Virtua Fighter in it's name -Virtua Cop series -Sonic Jam -Guardian Legend -Panzer Dragoon (shoot-em-up series) -Panzer Dragoon orta -Nights into dreams -Sega Rally Championchip that's about it, i don't know much about the saturn either, sadly.
Wasn't Orta just on Xbox? Oh, hey which version of Tom Raider and Alone In The Dark is better, PSX or Saturn?
Yeah, Orta was just on Xbox. As for which is better between Alone in the Dark and Tomb Raider, I haven't a clue. I've only played the PC version of Tomb Raider 2.
fighting vipers, fighters mega mix, as neo matrix said pretty much any capcom game (definetly need to get street fighter alpha 2 and one of the vs games with an action replay 4mb cart) metal slug if you can find it for a good price, dead or alive if you dont have the xbox ultimate version, keio 2 if you can find it, fatal fuy real bout special i hear is a good port, but remember you need the 4mb action replay cart before collecting any games this is a must to play imports and imports that require a ram cartridge.
probably too many imports to list but do be warned if you go down the import prepare to spend big... unless like me you love to hunt down for the cheap deal no matter how long t takes... (sometime years before you see one) Saturn has the best NeoGeo port on all consoles... so if you fancy some Metal Slug or Street Fighter Zero 3 this is the console to have...
i wish I could but I don't have time these days... I hardly have time to play let alone do anything else... besides since I'm skewered towards shooters/action genre rather than RPG... AND it's TAX time over here if you don't know my advise would be if I may do research before spending... there are a lot of Saturn titles demanding a lot of money just for their collection value rather than game play... and there are titles that cost next to nothing but have great game play... read and what ever to make sure the title you are going to buy for Saturn is the best version among other consoles (sometimes Saturn version isn't the best one).... and check every available sources for possible bargains... you never know who might be selling some titles at low price compared to, say eBay...
Layer Section [Raystorm/USA](cheap, excellent), either of the Cottons, Do/Donpachi (might wanna go for PSX DDP), Battle Garegga, Twinbees, Parodiuses (Parodi??) and the wonder that is Radiant Silvergun.
Only good Saturn games are fighters. SF Zero 3 SF vs Marvel Super Heroes X-Men vs Street Fighter Marvel Super Heroes Samurai Shodown 4 Bug and Clockwork knight are some fun lil Us saturn games.
well, I'll try to keep it short: Cheap US releases: -Nights into Dreams + 3D controller (must have, get the boxset!) -Sega Rally -Street Fighter Alpha 2 -Virtua Fighter 2 -Galactic Attack -Rayman -Tempest 2000 Not-so-cheap or uncommon US releases: -Shining the Holy Ark -Guardian Heroes -Dragon Force -Panzer Dragoon Saga (or get the demo, which is the full first disc) -Marvel Super Heroes -Darius Gaiden -Baku Baku -KoF '95 -Panzer Dragoon Zwei -Three Dirty Dwarves -Albert Odyssey Fine imports: -Soukyugurentai (should be < $50) -Street Fighter Zero 3 ($50-$100) -X-men VS SF ($20) , or better: -Marvel Superheroes VS Streetfighter ($30) -Thunderforce V ($30-$40?) -Terra Phantastica (mind you, it's an RPG)

Oh, and don't listen to the VGM, Fighting games aren't the only good games for Saturn, especially if you decide to import.
Don't be lazy mate, do a bit of research Take a look at my site ! Over 400 Saturn games on there for you to look at. Yakumo
I second Antipasta's recommendation on ThunderForce V. Everyone should own at least one copy of that. I'd say get a couple good shooters, and look for Japanese 2D goodness. Saturn is for odd stuff like that. And for research, there's GaijinPunch's Japangaming and Yakumo's Segagaga Domain and Retro Core - which will give you boatloads of info about what to get.
Jap: Radiant Silvergun Cotton Boomerang Cotton 2 Cyberbots ~Fullmetal Madness~ Soukyugurentai US: Nights: Into Dreams Chrismas Nights: Into Dreams Panzer Dragoon Saga Panzer Dragoon Zwei Panzer Dragoon Guardian Heros Saturn Bomberman Dragon Force Shining Force III Shining Wisdom Shining the Holy Ark Burning Rangers Virtual On Albert Odyssey Fighters Megamix Legend of Oasis Magic Knight Rayearth Astal Mr. Bones Fighting Vipers Clockwork Knight Clockwork Knight 2 Bug! woops! i wanted to say panzer dragoon saga (good luck finding it at a reasonable price though) and guardian heroes, not guardian legends (wich is a nes game ), my mistake.
i got Anarchy in the nippon because you mentioned it on retro core xD, also mmmm i got shinobi x, is it true that the american version is censored? i'll take a look at your site yakumo and thx to all for all the help
US Games: People have gone through the list pretty well. I'd recommend getting your hands on a copy of Resident Evil just for the nostalgic fun of it all. Street Fighter Alpha/Zero 2 is a must - I consider it to be one of if not the finest installments in the SF series. Imports: I'm really partial to Sakura Taisens I and II, both of which can be had for ~$10 on eBay if you look right. If you're a fan of shooters, Twinbee Deluxe Pack, Gradius Deluxe Pack, and Darius 2 are must-haves. Vampire Savior - The Lord Of Vampire is arguably the best installment in the Darkstalkers series, and it can be had for a reasonable price, but is only playable with a 4MB RAM card (or a properly modified 4-in-1). Radiant Silvergun is good, yes, but you could better spend your money on the Dungeons & Dragons Collection from Capcom - remember the awesome sidescrolling arcade games? Also good to look out for (though at $60-80, a bit spendier) is Princess Crown, a sidescroller in the veins of Guardian Heroes or D&D. Also, the Metal Slug conversion is quite good, but requires the 1MB RAM cart - you can often find the two sold as a pack, or you can just use the 4-in-1 again. With all the suggestions here, this should keep you occupied in your collection for a little while, at least!
