As you can see the Saturn is still a much loved system. I play all my games on my US mod/switched console. As far as US releases, as it has been mentioned, most aren't that good. Most of the games worth playing have already been listed, here are some that you could add to your 'wanted list': US: Puzzle Fighter (although the PSX version has better control) Guardian Heroes (In case you missed it, A must, by it NOW :smt023 ) Virtual On + Netlink Japan: Any shooter (Radiant Silvergun is a fav of many, but i think your money could be better spent) Marvel vs. Street Fighter ^_^_^
I haven't played the Saturn version, but the PC version of Darius Gaiden is fantastic. In fact, it's one of the only horizontal shooters I like . It's dirt cheap, too (American copies are going for $10).
Darius Gaiden rocks a lot. And someone here recommended Langrisser. IV and V are REALLY cool, and they have great soundtracks as well. I think they're available for PSX too.
Yep, Darius Gaiden is a very nice shooter. The PSX version by Interbec is bloody awful though butthey have G Darius which is also very good. First time I played darius Gaiden on the saturn I felt that the graphics weren't really that hot but they sort of grew on me. Anyway, it plays like a dream and isn't that what it's all about? Yakumo
