I like it. The art style reminds me of Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit (also published by SEGA) to some degree.
Sega seems to have a penchant for destroying their IP. They're having hollywood make a live-action sonic movie.
Sega, bring out next gen versions of Daytona USA, Sega Rally, Daytona USA 2, Sega Rally 2, Scud Race or even Daytona USA 3 etc and all will be forgiven.
No! I recently picked it up and it is what it is- a new Golden Axe game The dodge/ parry mechanic is actually really fun, and the mounts are awesome. The reviews sucked mainly because people were comparing it to God of War, DMC etc. Current gen games. The only disappointment I had was the lack of co-op.
A new game from GameFreak that isn't Pokemon? Fuck yeah! And it looks nice. Still...no Wii U release? Why? That's weird. It's not like Wii U can't handle a game like this. Οh well. At least it will be released on Steam as well. And thank goodness it's not an Android/iOS only release. Since Sega and GameFreak worked together again for a new game after decades, can I hope for a Pulseman sequel or I'm asking too much?
Yeah, I think the Wii U has about 5 million units sold, while the XB1 has over 10 million. Mainly because Nintendo pissed away their year head start.
Either way, Nintendo had a year head start and isn't ahead of either, even though Microsoft bumbled for about six months or so.
I still hold out hope that Jet Set Radio Future will see a re-release either on Steam or Xbox One (although honestly if it shipped on another next gen console I'd find the cash to buy it, I want an HD remake that badly). I did my part and purchased JSR on Steam, but I liked JSRF much better!
Pretty positive it was an XBOX exclusive as well as one of its launch titles. I believe the "who-owns-what-rights" dance will have to be done before a multi-plat release would come about.
JSRF came out a few months after the Xbox (February or March IIRC, I think GunValkyrie was Feb and JSRF was March, but it could be the other way around). It was Xbox exclusive, but MS didn't publish it, so I doubt they have exclusive rights to it.
