Sonic CD Released on iOS, XBLA, PSN, Android tommorow

Does anyone know which version of the soundtrack it is going to feature?

And I just bought a android tablet yesterday... Happy Days!!

 

Shall I get it on my phone? Nope because Emulation is free I will buy it for my 360 though. Oh happy days. I just pray it's not a PC port but I bet it is.

Its a brand new engine, originally made by a fan, who was then hired for the project by Sega, or something along those lines. Bottom line, fan engine turned commercial, and it is quite a good engine. It has features the original Sega CD version didn't have.

 

Something more to disturb drivers on the road. I'm so excited.

 

Ah yes, that's right. I remember reading that at one point. In thqt case Sonic is having a great time coming back this winter with Sonic Generations and now a cool version of Sonic CD. I hope this will be up tonight when i get home. I can't wait. My son will be very happy too. He loves Sonic and that's not down to me either.

Awesome! I've always wanted to play Sonic CD.

 

I want to grab this for PC but it seems to be a toss up if it is coming to PC or not. It would make for a nice gift on the 14th for myself.

 

Probably gonna get it then if it's not some crappy port. Sonic CD isn't a game I've really played that much...

Yep, only 400 points and it's listed on the web homepage but NOT on the actual 360. now here is the shitter. Japan is getting shafted again with a late release (when I don't know) so i want to buy it from the UK store using the PC but it won't allow me to log in with my UK profile unless I have a windows profile to go with it. TWATS!!

right, I'm off to see if it's been added to the 360 market place to buy yet. I have 1380 points in my UK profile just waiting to be used.

The time travel thing was always pretty confusing to me. Do you have to get all the good futures in one playthrough, or can you just get the ones you missed the next time you start over?
I have to say that's one bad ass soundtrack.

 

Anyone know how this plays on the iPad? - Can't get my head around how you would play a game like this on one? I guess you use those "virtual" controls?!

 

Seems the Android version will be delayed till 2012.

Jut been playing it on the 360 and all I can say is THANK YOU SEGA FOR NOT FUCKING THIS UP!!! This is what you want. The filter set to sharp is very nice, plays just like the Mega CD original and even has a few little bonus features not in the original but I won't ruin the fun by telling you. The only issue is that the Japanese soundtrack is missing the vocals from the opening and closing animations but still nothing too bad. The tunes are the same, just no vocals. I guess there were copyright issues.

Anyway, if you love really Sonic then you will love this. The best Sonic ever just got better!

I love Sonic CD, it's perhaps my favourite Sonic game. I have a real copy, PS2 copy and of course and emulated version.

That said I will be purchasing this for the optional extras and 16:9 support. Hats of to Taxman for building such a great engine.

 

As part of the "Sonic Gems Collection"?

 

Sonic CD Level design is at best questionable but the music is top notch (Depending on the version)

 

Looking forward to this. 16:9 support really makes this a mandatory purchase.
