Sonic Lost Worlds = Sonic Xtreme remake?

Looks like the "Lost Worlds" subtitle is referring to it being inspired by Sonic Xtreme. What do you guys think?

 

I was just about to post this looks like its drawn inspiration from Sonic Xtreme and the how the world is split up in Mario Galaxy.

 

CRAP CRAP CRAP CRAP..... Now I have one reason to buy a Wii U Hopefully I can hold out until this exclusivity deal runs out, in order to buy it for another platform.

Looking forward to this game. I all ready have a Wii U so that's one hurdle out of the way.

Typical how everyone (including me) think: 'Looks like Sonic Xtreme!' while watching that trailer.

I'm probably the only one who's always thought the Sonic Xtreme concept looked really stupid.

 

Why does this not surprise me?

 

No, I thought it was rubbish. This, however, has more speed and doesn't look so bad.

 

It probably would have been good if they didn't use that fish-eye lens. That being said, I'm not a fan of how curved everything looks. Looks like they drew the level on paper, rolled it up, and programmed that. Not even Super Mario Galaxy was this "rolled up."

 

Ah... wait, what? A Sonic game that looks promising?

Well damn, glad I have a Wii U.

 

Looks interesting, and yeah, it does seem somewhat reminiscent of Sonic Xtreme. I think to call it a Sonic Xtreme remake is going a little too far, though. Obviously it's a different game. It also looks somewhat similar to Super Mario 3D Land, in the sense that it's sort of a 2D Sonic but in 3D, if that makes any sense. We'll see how it plays out.

Although, this game actually looks pretty good. Will be interesting to see if they release more info at e3.

 

It reminds me of Mario Galaxy but with Sonic. Not surprising really, although the game does look fun.

Then again, I haven't been excited about a Sonic game since... Sonic Adventure 2 I think.
