Sony building second life clone instead of "live"

Maybe they want to take the Ninteno Route of

"You don't tell us what you want we tell you"

 

It does seem pretty stupid to me, but if it is a success perhaps people will spend all their time using it rather than playing (and buying) proper PS3 games.

 

Well, Sony has pretty much been the "Me too" company this entire gen. So I guess they wanted to try to do something different.

I think it's dumb as shit and even have a ps3. I'd rather have a xbox live knockoff than what Home is. Just give me the in game XMB, with a decent friends list and I'll take it without the Home trash.

 

It's not really anything like Second Life, other than perhaps in looks. It's more a 3D lobby system with some simple games.

If you'd 'played' Second Life then you'd understand that.

 

Atleast it'll be free.

As for Home; It seems a lot of people are pumped for it...

 

Wiimote, Gamecube, Controller, Ignoreing the fact we want the rest of the Mother series translated. Blocking the Freeloader....

 

1) we didn't want the wii mote? Tell that to millions of wii units sold.

pretty similar to an xbox controller. you know, his beloved xbox controller. I loved the gamecube controller. I just wish the thumbsticks clicked in and there was a z2 button.

 

For some reason my freeloader doesn´t work on my Wii, but maybe that´s because I have an older version?

How exactly do you work that one out? ... fair play to Sony for sticking by their guns and including HDMI, Blu-Ray and the HDD as standard in all consoles.

I ment the design of the Gamecube controller. The lay out is only suited to a few different kinds of games.

Wiimote is nothing more than a gimmick the fickle non gamers will eventually get tired of then expect to see a ton of used Wii's on Ebay

 

Are you for real? How is the GC controller any different to the, for example, Xbox controller? I love the GC controller, I might have too big hands for it to be completely comfortable, but that's life.

 

The Cube controller is nice, certainly a whole lot better than the PS2 layout. My only complaint with it is the little purple Z shoulder button, I always forget it is there.
