There is a flaw/design issue in ps3 controllers which is why you must use a PS3. Personally sony should open it up to let you use their PC app Media Go.

As for the power cable, yeah its stupid. Fear not though, just buy a used PSP OLD power cable or a chinese one for dirt cheap. The power cord the doc wants is the old PSP power cable.

 

What defects do PS3 controllers have? I assume it's all BS that tries to make it as incompatible with regular standards as possible? (^_^);

The PSVita looks tempting but I'm Boycotting Sony until they improve their business practices.

Man, all four people who actually bought the piece of shit that is the PSP Go are probably really pissed.

 

Sony does plenty of stupid crap like that, some of it probably on purpose, some of it not.

One thing that pisses me off to no end is the fact that the power switch on the PS3 does not always turn the damn thing off. If you accidentally turn it on (as I often do, because I have the official remote and lightly pressing any button will turn the machine on), you have to wait 20-30 seconds to turn it back off again. If you press the power button before that, it beeps three times and does not turn off.

It's annoying because it's not good to just leave the machine running, and you shouldn't have to wait 30 fucking seconds just to turn it off. It doesn't make sense - if it has to do something before it can shut down, why couldn't they make the power button put it in some kind of "queue" to shut down as soon as it's able? Stupid.

Another thing that pisses me off is that the official PS3 remote (which is otherwise very good) has no power button. It has every single button you could possible want (plus some nobody needs) - play, pause, stop, display, top menu, pop-up menu, subtitle, audio, number keys (as in numbers that allow you to select the track), etc. Honestly, who dials in the number of the track on a DVD that they want to watch? Anyway, it has all that crap and no power button. You can press any button to turn the machine on, but you have to press like 3 buttons to turn it off. Honestly, how basic is a power button? Ridiculous.

 

I had 2 PSP Go last year and had the exact same problem, but worse in that I was conned out of my 10 free games too. Also at that time I didn't even own a PS3, so I had to go round to my cousin's to use his PS3 to synch the controller. I don't have the Go's any more but for some reason I still have the official component AV cable kicking around.

This is how I feel with EA and their Origin bullshit.

 

the last sony product i will buy will be a PS3 with FW 3.55 on it
its for things like the jack ass round about way to sync the ps3 controller
and the nickle and dimeing and the sony BMG root kit fiasco

that make me never wanna have anything to do with sony ever agian

 

Lets not forget about suing people for restoring functionality that was on the console to begin with.
