Honestly, when I first saw it, I was guessing somewhere above 150. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

$200?? You'd have to be some serious MK freak to pay that because the only thing going for it is it's story. Take a step back and look at it, I can make a showcase piece more attractive in about 6 minutes

What would you guys pay for a giant Mortal Kombat cardboard promotional piece? (I trashed it about 8 years ago)

 

Gold Cartridges! 5 million sold! One of a Kind! How is that not cool!

 

I can spray paint those carts and stick it in a frame for about $8

I personally find the Gamefan award far more interesting as Gamefan was the only US game magazine imo.

 

I think it's actually worth more than U$200
If you sell one gold cartridge of those on ebay saying "Rare unique Mortal Kombat cartridge" you might get that value each. That's purely a guess, of course.

 

I'm not saying it's not valueable because ANYTHING inhouse especially awards are valuable, especially one of a kind things. But aesthetically, ugh. Perhaps if we knew WHO awarded Acclaim that and the story behind it...

I don't think people would buy a Mortal Kombat cart for $200. It's SPRAYPAINTED. Anyone could fake that. It's only value is in it's completeness, specifically the award part... It's the cheapass videogame world's verson of a gold vinyl.

 

Ooh...i like PC Engine games...

 

so are those carts even gold in the MK case, I mean I saw the wwf gold carts but I can't tell if the MK ones are black, gold, or simply gray?
