They should make a DS that can play all the gameboy titles as well (including gameboy and gameboy color).

They should get off their ass and make a Virtual Console equivilent for DSi. I'd gladly pick up some old GB/GBC games to play on my DSi.

So far sony has them beat with PSN offering PS1 & TG16 games for PSP.

They're just trying to catch up to their idols (nintendo).

Having a GBA slot would be a god send. They still wouldn't take up the full screen but they would be big enough to play enjoyably at least

Nintendo have never quite made a handheld console that was perfect in everyway, they always seem to have something that makes it imperfect in someway. I would love a DS/GB that could play everything, had a headphone socket and a decent backlit screen and ran off batteries.

So in America it would be the Nintendo DSi M? :p

No, I'm pretty sure I'd hate them forever if they did that.

We KNOW they can just put a GB/C/A slot on the damn thing, so why would I tolerate having to re-buy all my GB games? Just give us the proper hardware. If the system is so much larger, surely there is space for an all-encompassing Game Boy slot.

GBA, yeah ok you can just slap in a port but GB/GBC would require additional hardware then just a port (no GB/GBC hw in the DSi, not to mention the volt difference required for GB/GBC has never been integrated into the DS hardware).

This is kind of cool I suppose, is this the one that has the Nividia Tegra chip in it?

I already own a DS lite, I don't think I'd exchange it for one of these DS LL's though.

Also, the DS has gone through a record amount of redesigns for their handhelds with this one...right? In the US anyway, not counting Hello Kitty versions and stuff.

Not a chance in hell. :p This is simply just a DSi with a larger display.

DSi is just a DS/DSl with a faster cpu & more ram but no changes in gpu specs.

I can't wait to play DQIX and Spirit Tracks on this sumbitch.

It will be great for text-heavy games.

Nope. It seems to extend to DSi enhanced & DSi only software that is on carts.

    It's really freaking stupid.

Using an iPlayer, where homebrew can use it's multi-media processor to help out with the work, you can emu GBA games via your slot-1 on a DS/DSi.

Really? That is awesome. Would it scale the graphics to full screen though?

    in theory, yes.

Still, we don't have this DS yet, so nobody can tell for sure.
