Sadly, religious or not the Earth shall end as it began. Whether mankind is still here to witness it (or even in existence) is an entirely different question.

I don't seem to understand. What does any of that have to do with God existing or not?

It actually doesn't, but as always some form of control factor has to be brought into it, but you really shouldn't argue with someone who has 'faith' as frankly it is futile exercise and one that despite every argument being completely logical leads to frustration, anger and eventually war lol.

Man has the nature to try & make himself feel all superior over others. Religon is used as a tool to accomplish that, thoughout the ages people have killed in the name of (insert your favourite god here) & it will keep happening forever as they can't help themselves as it's in human nature.

Makes no difference what religon you are, someone somewhere will twist & corrupt it to use it to their own ends.

    Edit: ^this^

Whoops, I didn't mean to bring religion into this.

I was kidding. I'm "spiritual," but not religious.

Hahaha. That would be pretty funny. Call up your insurance agent and ask if your home owners insurance covers gamma ray bursts. =)

We'll live on other planets one day and this will all be a moot point. Unless we never go beyond this solar system...

I think the resistance to the Faith that is most assocated with God inspite of how harmless it is at least speaks volumes about at the very least forces not of this world

It's not my job to convert any one and I'm not setting out to do that. I just simply want you all to think about what I say. I'm no expert. I'm not even a saint my past behavor sure shows that. But what I can do is at the very least make you think.

Truth is, no matter where you are in the world, you're never truly safe. You could be walking down the street and a meteor could hit you, you never know.

But seeing how we've gone so far without encountering one of these Gamma bursts, I would plan on waking up tomorrow and everything being ok, which means you'd still have to eventually face the consequences of excess.

    For the time being.
