Alright RARE fans, I may have an exciting opportunity coming up shortly. It isn't cheap, though. We have the possibly of getting the following :
An earlier PAL beta of Perfect Dark
A NTSC beta of Perfect Dark
    A debug version of Conker
And an "Uncut" version of Conker

I certainly can't afford it myself, but if people are interested, it could be combined into this fundraiser to make a "Mega RARE Fundraiser" of sorts. The issue being it would add $2200 to the fundraiser, in addition to the 500$. I would be going all in with basically every spare penny I have and then some, so I need to make sure the interest is there.

$2200? Hmm...I feel like that isn't tooo bad actually.

You've got $100 from me, and I'll throw in increments of $25 every few days or so to keep things going. Anything Conker, which also may lead to Twelve Tales getting out, gets my approval :)

I'll donate later in the day.

Aah, ok. Beta BFD is still super cool since we've never seen much. They didn't show a lot of the game until it was basically completed, seems like.

Heck, Rare protos of any kind are amazing, especially N64 stuff. Exciting!

Alright, so the two PAL betas seem to be the same build dates, so I am questioning whether they are different (which if they aren't, no point in funding the same thing twice). The "new" one isnt overdumped though, and seems to be the proper size.

The NTSC beta with a few more debug functions was built March 22nd, 2000, so its a little bit earlier.

Could you start a thread about this? I'm sorry I have nothing to offer as of yet (hopefully I will have money in time) but I think this deserves it's own thread, after seeing how different that conker video is from the final version of the game (assuming I'm not misremembering things, also this is a perfect dark thread). Very interesting, as well as the fact that it is an 'uncut' version.

edit: and how sure are you that there are many changes in the rest of the "uncut" version, perhaps everything else is very minor and that is the only scene that recieved any major rewrites? Sorry if I'm overstepping my bounds. I will try to help out ASAP, this is very cool.

I was recommended to check this scene out. Notice that the entire menu system is different for that build.

The "debug" (I dont know how to enable the debug menu if there is one, could be on another controller...wish I had an everdrive!) build also has that scene intact, plus I noticed the mission name changed. Im not a huge Conker fan, so I need people to point out areas for me to check out, otherwise I simply don't know where to look. A video is uploading of the same scene in the other build that may be offered, versus the retail version.

If a moderator sees this, please rename the thread to Perfect Dark and Conker : BFD Betas Found

Edit: Another video, this time of the so-called Debug build.

I'm definitely interested in the 2 builds of Conker BFD. If Bad_Ad84 ever finishes repairing my ED64 I'd be willing to submit it for use with testing these prototypes on real hardware. I even have a NUS-CPU-4 N64 with expansion pack I'd loan out for this if interested.

This just a loan I'm talking about here.

Alright Sonic, if I need it by then Ill definitely let you know. They should work on retail hardware fine.

So here is the fun bit. According to the crashing debug menu on the retail version of the game, the final build was on Dec 19 2000. The debug version, now that I have the debug menu loading, was build on October 25, 2000, so a good couple of months prior.
