The Last of Us - Naughty Dog's Masterpice?

Have you guys read any of the reviews of the game today, after the embargo was lifted? It's incredible. It's mostly 10's, 5/5, ... Neogaf has made a list of it:

I was looking forward this, but the whole hype got me worried. That ended after reading Destructoid's review.

 

Yeah and even Edge gave it 10/10 which is the magazines 15th time to ever give a perfect score. People are already calling it the best game this generation which might be a pretty bold statement but I guess reviews don't lie!

 

I find it hilarious that EGM is one of the few that bothered to take 0.5 of the score, so it wouldn't be 10. And let's not forget they were the ones that gave Aliens Colonial Marines a 9.

 

Is because of that that I no longer trust game journos.

Well I'm not surprised about the score. I mean Naughty Dog is the best developer's after all.

 

Edge gave Gunstar Heroes a 6. Of course, they've since backpedaled on it.

I don't know If you serious or joking, but again I should put "Opinion" in my previous comment.

Why you have to be so negative that anything is related to Sony or PS3 ?

Naughty Dog arguably best Dev's I know so far. Theirs games were amazing in past and present. Uncharted series blew me away especially in 2007 where most dev's failed to do that in 8 years back then and now. Most developers just complain most of time and doing lazy port while making excuse.

I just have to say that Naughty Dog has impressed most worldwide audience and they truly talented, patience and they are not a money grabbers either. They know how to make a proper games that gamers want to play. They get my respect for that.

Again, that is my opinion.

 

Of course I was joking, maybe you should ask yourself why you get so defensive whenever someone posts something even slightly negative about Sony.

I honestly dismissed it as just another zombie game, but from hearing all the talk this game has gotten I decided to check out gameplay footage and holy crap am I hyped, whilst I don't really take some reviewers that seriously, the fact that its gotten so many 10/10's makes me want to go to a midnight launch, and I never do midnight launches.

 

Shame I sold my PS3. I want to play this

 

I'd like to play this as well, seems like so much effort has gone through this. I never, ever read reviews on games whatsoever I'd like to try it out for myself.

Get one cheap, reflow?

 

I actually have one that needs a reflow. But for the time taken to do it properly (as we all know, I am a fan of doing it properly - not a heatgun) - I might as well buy a faulty drive console off ebay, as its quicker and easier to repair.

 

You could just do it quick for the game, then do it correctly later on?

 

or wait and see if it lives up to the hype before doing anything

 

Basically, game reviews are worthless.

 

I thought dead rising was good (at the time). Its not stood the test of time very well though.

 

Dead rising was pretty awesome, for 3 months then left 4 dead was being thrown about etc a year later
