I'm pondering what modern Epic to play next now. Deus Ex Human Revolution is the front runner. But LA Noire and Red Dead Redemption are mighty tempting to. After Last of US I need something in stark contrast.

Bioshock Infinite has a story I've seen countless times, from Anime to Episodes of Futurama.

The Original Bioshock didn't Wow me either. Human Revolution seems to be the front runner. But Kingdom hearts 1.5 is also coming out soon which is VERY VERY MUCH a start contrast to The Last of US.

I wasn't a big fan of the original Bioshock, but I enjoyed Bioshock Infinite. There were aspects of the gameplay and story that I didn't like, but overall I enjoyed it. And yes, the visuals are amazing, especially if you're playing the PC version.

Getting back on topic there is something I want to chime in about Last of US. While I was playing it I felt like Ellie is what John Conner in T2 SHOULD HAVE BEEN. She's not an annoying little shit but she's a likeable broken little girl who needed to grow up and grow up fast.

i'd recommend checking out the previous games too(Deus Ex, Deus Ex Invisible War), and also system shock 2(yes a pc game, but awesome in every way)

not sure if they older deus ex games got console releases but i think they might have.

Deus Ex is on PSN as a PS2 Classic. Invisible war I think is 360 BC too.

And I found out they take place in the same year/Timeframe, the Last of US is set. So it's a perfect contrast.

i've recently started playing invisible war again, although keep getting distracted by other random stuff, Mass Effect is also very worth playing.

I don't know why I've overlooked Deus Ex for so long. I love Cyber Punk.

the who anti pc gamer thing maybe? lol

System shock was what IMO started it, at least in first person form, can't recommend system shock 2 enough btw, it's cheap and will run on anything and throws horror into the mix pulls it off nicely too
