The New PS3

So I crawl out of bed and check my emails and what do I find?



The PS3 is getting slimmer, lighter and uglier.

It sounds like they're going down the Xbox 360 Slim route with flash memory and separate HDD vs large Internal HDD models. I bet the bloody thing still won't be 7200 RPM though.

 

I really don't like the new design... it's too much meh

 

Is there a shot of the white one yet?

 

It's a top loader too... time to crack the centres!

PS2 much?

 

Maybe one day they'll get around to making some games for it too.

 

seen from the top is so-so side view's way better looking. i wonder about power consumption and other improvements if there are any.

also i expected the price to be slashed quite a bit more than this...

did we really need a new PS3?

 

The white one would be cool, but flash memory? If Sony starts using some weird shit like psp or vita on consoles that makes there last advantage hit the bucket.

 

Still looks alot like a George Foreman grill or a Panasonic 3DO FZ-10

I have to say I was quite surprised when I got that email. One, because we knew about the Slim PS3 before it was fully announced, so this came from no where. Two, it's the first non-handheld console I know of that got more than two hardware revisions.

I have to say, I like how it looks more than the PS3 Slim, but the "Phat" PS3 is still the best-looking
