    Hi Maxou,

Here you go. I've left off the last question from the bottom of the scan as it can only be partly read:

    ----------------------------------------------------
Q: What was the first song you wrote?
A: One without a title, which I wrote at around the time I finished elementary school.

Q: Do you have any children?
A: If I had, maybe I'd be a more responsible person.

Q: [Tell me about] a recently purchased (or favorite) instrument
A: I recently (well, around a year ago) bought a Fender Telecaster.

Q: [What was this year's] first dream?
A: I dreamt I was working on the final stages of FF VIII. After I woke up and went to work, it turned out to be exactly what I was really doing!

Q: During your daily life, do you ever not think about music?
A: Not really. I'm always keen to keep it nearby.
It's got nothing to do with the pressures of the job though, just simply because I'm fond of it.

Q: Where do you like to go?
    A: Shibuya, Jiyuu-Gaoka, Futakotama-Gawa, Yokohama... I don't really go anywhere else.
    ----------------------------------------------------

    Cheers!

    Hey everyone!

I got this famicom disk system game at a flea market for 1$.
It's obviously fake considering the color of the cartridge and the very poor print quality of the front cover.
Can someone please tell me what is the title of the game?

    Thanks :)

The cover is from Moero Twinbee: Cinnamon hakushi o sukue! which is a formerly FC Disk-only sequel to Twinbee and was then later in the 1990's rereleased on cartridge.

The label of the disk, however, says something different but I can't quite read it.

    Thank you very much ave!

I took a close shot of the label, but it's hardly readable... Looks like there was a sticker over it and someone took it off...

    Thanks a lot ave! ;)
It's funny that the cart does not match with the title of the game!

The first one is a document from Sega stating that they received a broken dreamcast & a Visual Memory from Mr. Iwasaki (the original buyer) by post on 25/1/1999 & that they replaced it with another one (and that they returned the VM) & sent it back on 26/1/1999.

The second one is indeed the purchase date (feb 99... but in fact it says the warranty is 12 months starting from that date) and where it was bought (Sega Enterprises service center in Tokyo, since it was replaced by them)

Wow! Thanks for that! I thought the paperwork looked service-like with what looked to be a repair / job number at the top.
So when the unit was replaced it got a whole year warranty again? That sure sounds good to me! Here you'd be hard pressed to get more than a 3 month warranty on refurbished / repaired units from some of the big players.

Thanks again for your fast response!

    You're welcome.

Keep in mind that we're talking about january 1999 here... so 2 months after the Dreamcast's launch date in Japan.
Giving only 3 months warranty when replacing a console that was faulty before using it, would not inspire much confidence in the new console...

I was wondering how complex Chinese names are translated into Japanese. Their pronunciation sometimes exceeds the boundaries of katakana by far, so I don't know how to write it.

潇婷 (Xiāotíng), for example, is roughly pronounced something like "shiauting". In the special case of names originally written in Kanji, are they still translated to Katakana? シアウティング?

Chinese names are always "japanized", i.e. the original kanji are preserved and the japanese on-yomi is used in furigana. Your example would become something like ショウテイ.

Most Chinese people that move to Japan either use the / a Japanese reading of their name or just pick a new name. Chinese people already pick an English name themself so it's quite common, most of my Chinese friends who study Japanese / live there got a new name. Same way that foreigners that move to China pick a Chinese name.

Can someone translate this for me? It's for a project I'm working on with my thesis. I'd be good if someone just wrote all the kanji down for me. I can read left/right motor and front sensor but the rest is magic ;p

    Hi xmog123x,

Not sure if this is the kind of thing you're after...

I'm not really familiar with the subject matter, so sorry if it's a bit off.

That's just what I needed! Thank you!
1 question though: in the box where you put in target turn radius, shouldn't it be 1/target turn radius?
    Once again, thanks!
