    Hi caius,

Sure, the text in question says:

    -------------------------------------
    Disk cannot be read.

Unfortunately, a crash has occurred during the copy-protection check.
Please insert the game disk into the floppy drive and try again.
If it's been installed onto the hard drive, this check will occur
during the initial boot. Sorry. (;_;)

    SILVANO: Planning/Programming

    -------------------------------------

*I only assumed that "HD" was hard drive, despite the more common abbreviation nowadays being "HDD"

    Cheers!

    Hi Maxou,

Well, I've already read through and have a pretty clear understanding of what's being explained, but I'm curious about why you're asking for so many translations, many of which related to Biohazard. On top of that, and as other people have already said, the quality of the text in the screens you send isn't always great making reading some of the kanji pretty tough. Could you perhaps provide some clearer pictures and also a bit of background on what these translations are for?

    Cheers!

    Hi Maxou,

Yep, those pictures are definitely easier to read (but they contain different content from the ones you posted before!).

Anyway, here's a translation for you:

    ----------------------------------------------
    <Pic #1>
This screen shows a room inside the clock tower. The series exhibits plenty of
fine pieces of art and furnishings, and presents each and every one with the
most intricate detail. Applying authentic-looking "aging techniques" are the
    bio-team's forté!

    <Pic #2>
This is the reclusive guy who shows up right after the start of the game.
Despite having only a small part, in order to bring him convincingly to
the screen, a proper character model had to be made and have the
appropriate configurations for detailed textures to be applied.
    ----------------------------------------------

    Cheers!

No problem, but are you going to share with us the reason behind all these translations?

I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd like to know...

Probably a biohazard fan site. I hope he is not using these translations for personal benefit.

    Yeah, reprep, you're probably right.

To be honest, I'm not looking for payment or anything as I mostly translate things like this for fun. What would really annoy me is if they were being used for personal gain, then I'd at least want a credit for doing the work!

    Hi Celine,

Sure, here you go. I've added a couple of footnotes too, just in case the text is a bit confusing:

    ------------------------------------------------------
    <Pic #1>

    Chant
    Summon
    Attack

    Seaside Park

    <Pic #2>

    [Header]
    Deployment Plan (target by target)

    [Top]

    High Target

    [Top-left]
    Rhyme Rider Kerorican
    200,000 Units

    [Top-right]
    Space Battleship Yamato
    Mobile Suit Gundam
    700,000 Units

    [Bottom-left]
    Light 16 years old*
    Digimon Adventure 02

    [Bottom-right]
    Heavy
    Senkaiden II
    300,000 Units**

    [Bottom]
    Low Target

    ------------------------------------------------------

*Looks like this is probably the target age group as it's basically in the centre of the chart
**Please note that the "300,000 Units" part covers both "Digimon Adventure 02" and "Senkaiden II" together

I guess you know this already, but it all appears to be referring to WonderSwan software.

    Cheers!

Thank you djandy76, indeed it's all stuff related to WonderSwan.

    As expected, I'm pleased.

That's some lofty expectations, if Enterbrain/Famitsu is anything to go by.
Best selling WS game was Final Fantasy I sold 376K (probably without bundles).
Maybe they were combining the games shown in the circles (BTW you missed Final Fantasy in the red circle :))

    Hi Celine,

    Glad to be of service.

Regarding my Final Fantasy "oversight" though, I couldn't be sure what it was from the picture (shocking, I know!) and didn't want to provide potentially wrong info. Same goes for the second game pictured in the top-left portion, but partially obscured by the "200,000 Units" text. I couldn't accurately determine the text so opted to ignore it.

Anyway, give me a shout if you have any more screens to translate.

    Cheers!

I got a bunch of VHS tapes from Yahoo Auctions, I've tried translating about half of them but I'm not 100% sure about the titles that use a decent amount of kanji.

    I'm planning on selling them with some other stuff on here as I need to clear up some space (and I won't sell them all as a bundle because the postage/shipping would be ridiculous!), but until I can get an NTSC VCR to check the contents and quality/condition of them it'd be a great help to know what I should expect on them. >_<;

Would someone be able to have a crack at translating the titles please?

    VHS Labels 1
    VHS Labels 2
    Koei 20th Anniversary VHS Box

[Edit] Ah, crap. I need to get a better photo of one of the tapes in the first picture. The majority of the tapes arrived shrink wrapped.

    Hi Lamont,

    Sure, here's the first one:

    -------------------------------------------
    <VHS Labels 1 - From the top>

    PlayStation
    Exalegiuse
    In-store promotional video
    Release Date: 05.02.1998

Release Date: June 2003 - Product overview video
    PlayStation 2 "MVP Baseball 2003"
PlayStation 2 "Star Wars Jango Fetto"
    Electronic Arts (Co., Ltd.) 01.04.2003

    Release Date: August
    PlayStation 2 Exclusive
    Velvet File
    Top secret video

    A PlayStation Claymation Adventure Game
    Clayman Clayman

    Order-consideration video

Release Date: January 2002 - PlayStation Game
"NBA Live 2002", "Madden NFL Superbowl 2002"
*Coming soon in February 2002 - "NHL 2002" and "SSX Tricky" - promotional footage
Electronic Arts, Square (Co., Ltd.) 01.11.2001

ASCII New Soft News "Moon & Power Doll 2"
    60-minute looping video (10 min x 6)

    ??????????
    Order-consideration video

    PlayStation Game
Persona 2 Eternal Punishment - Movie video
    Release Date: 29.06.2000
    Atlus Co. Ltd.

"Time Splitters 2: Invaders of Space and Time" Order-consideration video (for in-store use)
    -------------------------------------------

As you can see, I couldn't take care of one of them as the glare from the camera made it impossible to read. If you could provide a clearer picture, I'll update the translation above accordingly. Then, I'll take care of the other two images when I have a free moment later on.

    Cheers!
